everything i stated was a true statement, never said MP in starfox was the main feature just a key feature. they even released a video on 3ds showing it off, i could have been mistaken but i dont think i am, but if i am sorry to confuse people. i think nsmb was utter crap, even super mario world on snes has more depth and ingenuity in it. as a gamer whos had every console and handheld ninty put out and bought hundreds of games its quite clear their development team is far behind the times and lost its unique niche for developing games. were going way off topic here. basically the only person to blame for horrible games is ninty themselves. we hold no clout or weight on the games and are not responsible for drab sale numbers. much love for responding though

Actually we were talking about flashcarts (or at least he was).
Oops, sorry, didn't see it through the wall of text on his posts.
But anyway, this flashcart may be bad news to Nintendo in a way. Pirating so early in the 3DS's lifespan

Y'know, I think Nintendo should just make sort of a Homebrew Developers console thingy, so people can create their own games.
But that's off topic.
The idea of running your own code sounds pretty yummy.

Quite honestly this brings "us" no closer to running unsigned code than before. This is literally NO different to running a game on an actual cart (hence it works), and so it is no improvement. I'm fairly certain that the real hackers in the scene could have (and quite possibly have) done this sort of thing months ago. I know that a long time ago a member of team twiizers mentioned on IRC that they were sadly much closer to piracy than homebrew. It wouldn't surprise me if they had done something similar a long time ago. The one minor benefit would be it is most likely easier to swap the savegame, meaning they could possibly one day test exploits easier using this sort of setup, rather than having to flash a new save to a real cart everytime. But a savegame exploit in a cart based game isn't hugely useful, as shown by the lack of popularity in the Classic Word Games and Cooking Coach hacks for the DSi.

Yea i can see nintendo trying to kill this quick , since this is purley pirating they will probaly lose any lawsuit because they don't have the "homebrew" excuse

That is, until a rom backup device comes out. Then they may have a viable excuse.

I'm pretty sure they said it would be $100.
I thought that was just a placeholder one site says 0 now for the price

I'm not sure, I just heard it said several times in this thread, I'm not exactly sure.

Yeah, some sites are advertising it for $99. I think that was what machomuu was getting at.

I totally agree with specillk regarding NSMB and DK Country Returns. NSMB was especially disappointing. I love 2D platformers, but i didn't even bother finishing it. The levels were cold, bland, uninspired and felt machine made (it felt like they plopped down the elements from a set of tiles ie it never felt organic and the levels barely featured any unique elements). They could have also done more with the hardware and added some more visual flare or a unique art style. You could also see how uninspired they were by making player 3 and 4 no name shroom people instead of using one of the dozens of characters from the Mario universe. The levels are also too damn short. This isn't 1992 the hardware can handle bigger levels.

Granted the core gameplay was solid as always, but they really could have thought of something new to add to the game in the 20 or so years that it took for the to get from SMB3 to this. And I'm not talking about the half assed suits that some intern came up with on his lunch break.

As for DKCR I'm pissed off that they really clipped the difficulty. Beating the original DKC felt like an achievement instead of an inevitability.
