personally i think its kinda a stupid way to test weather or not there is enough interest or not to produce a game, im sure alot of people that wanted it would have been like ,oh i will just wait for the game ,why bother paying for the demo ,im sure enough other people will buy the demo for them to make it, or they are only bluffing to try and get more money, plus the trial was only in japan or supposed to in japan only, they could have ported it to alot of countries , is the japanese market the highest consumers of megaman games or something?

There was going to be a prototype version for JAP and US. Recently it was announced that project is officially cancelled.

From the outset the MML3 Project was intended to give gamers across the world insight and input into the development process. Part of this process includes an assessment of whether the title will go into full production, and is based on a number of criteria with input from different sectors of the company.

Unfortunately it was not felt that the Mega Man Legends 3 Project met the required criteria, and it is with regret that we must announce that the Mega Man Legends 3 Project has been cancelled, meaning that Capcom will not be releasing the Prototype or the full game. Additionally, updates of the Mega Man Legends Developer Room will cease as of today, though the North American Developer Room and its forums will remain open indefinitely.

We can only express our deepest apologies to all of you who have lent us your unending support, including participation in the Mega Man Legends 3 Developer Room. On behalf of the entire Legends team, please accept our sincere apology for failing to meet the expectations of the fans.

We thank you all so much for your extended support of this title and this community, and we hope that you will continue to support the Mega Man franchise as well as other Capcom games.[/p]

but they can make 50 resident evil games at once
i am starting to really hate this company , they seem to be making lots of bad descisions, like the story i heard about them having only 1 sav file for the new 3ds re game, not sure if it was mercenaris or the other one, but i heard they would make it so the game has only 1 sav file and that 1 file is not erasble or re writable so you can only play the game through from the begining once ,what even happened with that? was it true or just a rumour, i could see them doing that and then charging you through the e store for a new sav file , oh well better not give them any ideas
if they didnt want to make the game couldnt they just have sold it and licenced it out to someone else,another team , or a another company to pay for and be in control of the team ,and had someone oversee it or qa check it or something,

Well at least I've got the upcoming North American localization Ace Attorney Investigations 2 to look forward to. Now to use the internet to get all kinds of confirmation on my prior assertion.

Because surely, there's no way they'd disappoint their fan base so intensely more than once a year.

just ask capcom to release their source code, dev kit and all their other content of the game for free then work off that.

So basically, lets make a commercial game for free?

Lets assume that you'll find a team of coders / graphicians / musicans / people with understanding of how games should work. Then, ask them to do a non-profit, commercial quality game that would take a year to develop even with people who do this stuff for their profession?

Oh, and when it gets ready, pay CapCom monsterous amounts of money. It doesn't matter if the game's free, it's still illegal.

wow thats bullshit , just cause becaue people didnt go to the dev forums or went and signed up but didnt participate dont mean shit , i didnt eve know th e forums existed and i would have bought the game , they already had enough of the game complete to release a demo which theose cheap fuks were going to charge us for anyways and make mone from ,i though that was supposed to be what was going to tell them if the game was worth making , they have the game or enough of it to release as a demo so why wouldnt they atleast do that and make some money and see what the interest is, and then again even that is not really a good indicator ,or maybe this is just part of their little plan to blackmail us itomaking the game ,maybe next week they will anounce they are going tbring out the py demo and tell us they are ging to make i if enough people buy he demo
they should atleast do that but not just release it in japan as they planned but in america and euorpe and AU too ,why not they would be making money on something that really isnt going to cost them anymore than they already spent,

i think if they dont then it is a god time to call for a crapcom botcott after thesav file shit they pulled with mercenaries i think it is a great idea
