I played Duke Nukem Forever quite a bit on Xbox360 and now I'm on the stage with the offroad 4 wheel drive truck.

The graphics to me in the PC demo as well as the full on Xbox360 were very unimpressive.

But now I played the full version on PC and don't even need to compare side by side. This one is a total no brainer. Get the PC one. They made it look a lot better on PC and did not do the typical console port to PC look crap that other game manufacturers have been guilty of from time to time.

I really like this game and it was a breath of fresh air to see the graphics quality top notch on PC rather than the crap they spewed out on the 360. It just isn't worthwhile to buy this game on a console. The controls are horrendous on a gamepad, the anti aliasing appears to be virtually nonexistant, and the graphics quality is very sub par.

If you have a decent gaming rig, forget about the xbox360 coaster and grab yourself the good stuff on PC.

Hail to the king, baby.

On the PC version and I can't say I'm impressed graphically, its like an HD enhanced title from 2002.

The game itself is extremely dated, I can play the likes of Medal of Honour PSX and Doom and enjoy them today but this is one of those games like Die Hard Vendetta on the GC (which is funny because this very game was set to be released on the GC!) that was great back then (or would've been) but now you can see the flaws.

It still feels unfinished and to be honest the levels are poorly done, you can see why this was delayed so many times, it just wasn't up to 3D Realms standards. I reckon they would have done a lot better if they canned it altogether and started new.

I'd love to see a game like this with this kind of character as I'm bored with most modern FPS but this game is just ok at best. Some good moment but as a whole its just "meh".

I like the game but the level design is not up to snuff with Duke Nukem 3D and the violence against women has been toned down unless they are in half alien mode and other little things. Ah well it isn't 1996 any more so this is how things have turned up. don't get me wrong to the above it wasn't just about that, it was that you could interact and break, kill anything in the environment and that made it more immersive. this new game doesn't accomplish that to the level that the old games like duke 3d and sin did in the 90s.

Hopefully they'll come out with a more streamlined product in the future that captures what once was. Ah well who knows. I am happy that this game was a lot better than Bulletstorm.

Each to their own but I found that an insult to Bulletstorm, at least that game is fun.

So this feels like the old Duke Nukem games of olden times, but in a 3d-ized environment, right?

I might have to get this on Teusday (AND GET A FREAKING DUKE HAT WHILE I'M AT IT....WAIT....DUKE DOESN'T WEAR A HAT....WAIT...WHAT..?)

The last Duke Nukem game I played was an old one for the PC, and I cant even remember what it was called, all I know is that it kicked so much freaking ***!

I tried the leaked PC demo, cant say I was that impressed with it. The graphics weren't that great honestly, and yeah, the gameplay felt really really dated (and not in a good way). I have the full pc game but haven't installed it yet, I am hoping it will grab me more than the demo did because I really want to like this game.

No not really, that had some good level design and gameplay.

TBH the original Duke Nukem 3d game has not aged well, at the time it had great graphics, over powered weapons (not actually a good thing from game mechanicals point of view, but it looked cool) and of course the 18 age rating... it doesn't exactly surprise me this new version isn't super special awesome.

Sigh, just watched some gameplay footage myself.

Not at all impressed....they have ruined my childhood, or at least part of it. This isn't the Duke Nukem I remember! Why..why do companies have to ruin all that is good!

I'll try it out personally if one of my friends get it, but my initial impression is not one of approval.

I think Duke Nuken Forever looks a bit poor, and hasn't got a very good storyline.
Add some DLCs and I may buy it.

The main problem is that its quite light on the actual action, even after the first boss fight it seems like I had to wait for well over 20 minutes before I got a gun!

I expected a parody of 80's/90's action heroes and got something quite sad and pathetic. Its not funny, not whitty and not fun. There's too much crap and filler on this and they seemed to have forgotten why people wanted a new Duke game in the first place. Its not the humour they wanted, its something that ISN'T Halo, CoD or a game trying to be those. They wanted a game that isn't taking itself seriously, that is just wanting to be a damn fun game.

I do expect another reboot, hopefully one that'll look at the character before the the bad 3rd person games that weren't even developed by the original team and maybe make something fun...I mean this has actually sold well so a sequel is probably a dead cert.

In the meantime I recommend people grab the two PC platformers, Duke Nukem 3D, Duke Nukem GBC and Duke Nukem Advance and then just toss this game aside to the crap like the DS game and Land of the Babes.

I was reading yesterday somewhere on google news or tom's hardware or somethin... that this game was #2 sold game of the month for June. Pretty decent getting up to the #2 spot I'd say. I haven't played it in a bit though. This game is looong. I just like to jump into a shooter for a short while usually so I venture on to other things often from gaming.
