Two great puzzle games in one package! Is it true that its coming out in UK as Dr Mario & Pokemon Puzzle League? Think I read that somewhere.

What an awesome idea, they've finally ported Dr Mario to the GBA..but what took them that long?

Its graphically more pleasing and I think it has everything the SNES version had, but I'm not sure if that had anymore or less from the NES one.

Its out in Europe November 5th, to coincide with some Mario Anniversary thing with Mario Tennis & Mario Brothers Classic NES Re-re-re-re-release with added Goombas and Ewoks. Think US release is around similar date. Europe & UK will have "Panel De Pon" as Tetris Attack, and US & Canada will have it as Pokemon Puzzle League, kinda dumb really seeing Pokemon will make this sell alot better but meh.

Man, the Pokemon get pawned off to us!?

Bah, while I am enjoying this version right now, I have Tetris Attack sitting in my SNES anyways. Panel De Pon is an ace title and one of my favourite games of all time.

Speaking of remakes and ports, don't you think we're a little overdue for a new version, wiether it be port or sequel, to Kirby's DreamCourse? (Hope I'm not the only one that enjoyed that game!)

A new DS game would be good. But I'd prefer a Blockball sequel.

Dr. Mario would have been a nice game to have pre-loaded into DS's, that way you could sit around and play against each other when you were bored. (Or any puzzle type game.)

Played these too much to warrant another look, but fun stuff if you've never tried it.

They can't call it Tetris Attack in the US since Nintendo doesn't own the name Tetris anymore, like they did when the original came out.

There's nothing that says they have to wait until it's announced to start work on it :/

Nintendo has never owned the Tetris name. Whenever they want to use it, they have to license it from the people who do own it. That's why the title screen says "Licensed to Nintendo." It's somewhat surprising that Nintendo has chosen to release it as Tetris Attack in Europe-- that is, considering the fact that Pokemon is so popular and that it costs them money to use the Tetris name.

Regardless, this game has been long overdue for GBA. I could care less about Dr. Mario, but Tetris Attack is an all-time classic.

And Kirby's Dream Course does indeed rock. Very possibly the best 2 player game on the system, and certainly the best one that no one knows about. I'd love to see a GBA, DS, or GC sequel.

It's really stupid that we got Pokemon and the U.K. got Tetris Attack...my mom has been wanting Tetris Attack (SNES) for GOD KNOWS how long, and her final chance to get it...it's a Europe only. Bah.

Hmm it's weird NOA are rebranding this as Pokemon Puzzle League for the US... Dr. Mario and Pokemon Puzzle League don't really sound right together. I just don't get why Nintendo won't add Yoshi and Mario World sprites and music like the SNES version and keep the title as Panel De Pon or something...

Although NOE did have a press release/piece of news on the Dr. Mario + Tetris Attack bundle for Europe, it's since been removed. I find it hard to believe Nintendo would change all the sprites and music yet again for the European release so I'm guessing maybe NOE changed their mind and will use the Pokemon Puzzle League front as with the US version.

...Well usually games are quite well into development before they are announced but in this case it's just the Dr Wario/Mario minigame from WarioWare and Panel De Pon multiboot game from Nintendo Puzzle Collection on the GC, put together in the same package with a couple of minor graphical and sound changes. If it weren't for the nice remixed music I'd probably just go back to the WarioWare/multiboot versions.
