Post this everywhere: Lets make him a meme
tongue.gif
I hope he sees this
tongue.gif
1) thats the slogan for the PS3 not PSP
2) telling everybody to spread it around, it then becomes forced meme which is then trashed

Lol your right... but i also wanted to parodise sony, and not only psp
tongue.gif

What were the PSP slogans? Maybe its gonna work with the PSP slogan
"PSP its like cheese you can listen to"

yep, I knew you guys would get mad..

you guys may not like it, but most (not all) adult see the DS as a kids toy.
If you're so insecure that you care what strangers think about you and are embarrassed about playing a DS, then why did you buy it in the first place?

Okay this is going to be my last response to this, because you kids can't seem to accept other people's point of view.

Just because someone don't see things the way you do, you feel the need to enforce your views,
and just because someone don't agree with your way of thinking don't mean they are wrong.

I'm 26, I like to present myself in a manner that is appropriate for my age, although sometime I don't do it all the time.
You kids (being in school) should know more than anyone that how you present yourself is how people see you. so that crap about, "I don't care what people think of me" is BS.

I don't want to be running around with kids toy(yes most adult think of the DS as a kids toy, ask your mom). The DS is a guilty pleasure of mine. I love my DS/DSi/3DS..but that's not how I like to present myself to others.

Guilty pleasure learn what this mean please.

hopefully you kids will understand this when you get older.

I'm not going to come into this thread anymore because I already know the response I'm gonna get from this.

Hahahaha, what? And the PSP did well with an optical drive?
And that's some real balls you have, discrediting motion-gaming that has worked SO WELL for the iPhone whilst you're sticking a touch pad in the BACK of the NGP.

tldr; idiot talks shit about something that is a serious threat to his industry.
Love this post.

On another note, this guy is full of shit. I bet he's never even TOUCHED a 3DS, let alone played one, so how can he be certain that it's not AWESOME? And we'll see what the statistics have to say at the end of the year for which is selling better.

Why would someone be embarrassed to play a console in or out of their home? it's a video game. It's like people who are embarrassed about what music they listen to, who gives a fuck? . . .

That's an interesting point that's being raised. How to present yourself that's appropriate for your age. What is appropriate? With gaming, there is kids games to R rated games. Just like there is with movies.

What adult's assume, means that they don't know. If they think a DS is a kid's toy, then it clearly shows their ignorance and they probably don't know anything about gaming. Actually, I'm pretty sure by assuming the above, they probably are so old, they only remember the Atari.

So naturally, coming from that era, gaming to them is viewed for children. However, that comment coming from a 26 years old, gee, how old are your friends? What would they think if you watched WALL-E? You better not tell them you watched UP, they might disown you or better yet, people won't want to be your friend.

Well, good luck with trying to impress people you have never met before.

It's funny how Sony attacks a Nintendo product, where, it could be applied to Sony's hand-held. So, which self-respecting 20-something is going to be sitting on an airplane with one of those PSPs? He’s too old for that.

Obviously, being the CEO of Sony, I would of thought he would of came up with something a little more creative. Unfortunately, this did as much damage to him, then it did to his competitors.

Oh, I guess he was able to tap into the psychology of a few posters, as zRussian said, shows people's insecurities.

Wow, do you have issues. I tried to be polite before, but...

At 32, so being older then you (not that I really see why that matters) I'm not ashamed about playing video games at all. If people have a problem with me playing video games, screw them. I would seriously think at 26 you would have grown beyond this high school attitude of caring what other people think.

On another topic somewhat related to this, I also collect star wars figures. I'm not ashamed about this at all either, and have only been called out about it once, and I had a great reply. I was looking at figures at WalMart and there were two 8-10 year olds there as well. One went, "Aren't you little old to be looking at toys?" and I went, "No, not at all. More importantly, the difference between me and you is that I can buy my own toys and not have to beg my mom for them" which well, just shut them up totally.

To quash any "you're just a nerd who lives in your parent's basement" nonsense that might come up now, I would like to say for the record I've been married for 5 years and have a great house of my own.

Because telling everyone in a forum that their hobby is childish and they should be ashamed about doing it in public is accepting other people's point of view.

I didn't know having a hobby or having fun was a kiddy thing to do. I guess adults must never play sports, read books, watch TV, play tabletop games, or watch films, then.

First, I would like to know how you arrived to the conclusion most of us are kids, especially considering that the average age of gamers is about 34 years old.

Second, I'm currently an university student, so don't act like you know me.

Third, once again, don't act like you know me. When I was in high school, I wasn't afraid of telling anyone who asked that my main hobby was playing video games. Actually, most of them knew about it, and I was still accepted the same as everyone else. No one mocked me for it. Heck, my schoolmates even found my small "collection" of home consoles to be cool. But even if they hadn't been cool about it, I still wouldn't have been ashamed about doing something I enjoy.

You really need to grow a pair and stop being embarrassed about having an innocent hobby.

Gaming or any technology has nothing if you act proper. Rather you act like douche or be a very polite person has nothing to do with.
I use my manners like opening doors for girls or elbows off tables, but you telling me just because of this technology I'm not acting my age?
Complete crazy talk.

I can not see how carrying and using a $250 piece of technology inappropriate!

You talk about how people feel the need to enforce your views, but you doing just that.
Not only that, majority of this thread is proving you wrong. (only like two people do not agree including you.)

Guilty pleasure? So what gaming isn't a guilty pleasure.

Funny cause she(mom) doesn't, especially costing over $250. That like saying a phone or a laptop is a kid toy. Yes I seen kids with laptops.

Kids? Most of the people commenting are over 20 years.

Why? Afraid to accept the true?

You know your presentation to me? A person full with insecurities that in denial .

I'm 26 and I love games. I'm married and have a little one month-old son. I just don't feel embarrased to be seen playing with my 3DS or my DSi, heck, I know some people even envy me 'cause they can't afford to buy one atm.

Just to make it better, some friends came over to my place, I just couldn't wait to flash my 3DS in their faces, when they saw it they all went like: AWESOME I want one!! I've been playing since I was a kid and yeah, I can't wait to play some games with my son and I hope he likes them just as I do.

on a more serious note, my family treats gaming like kid's stuff, and i was constantly looked down on for liking them after middle school. this was incredibly annoying.

I have read this forum for years, and barely comment, but I can't help but say my piece. I can't speak for any of you other gentlemen or ladies out there, but I am 25 and have been a gamer all my life. (started out with my parents' Colecovision) I have never had problems finding a girlfriend.

I have owned most of the Nintendo systems and some others (like ps2, dreamcast, xbox, etc.), and I simply love videogaming. Through high school and college I have had girlfriends and I have enjoyed. Not to preach, but during my life experience with women, I have found first and foremost that women are generally attracted to a man who has confidence, motivation and passion.

This is 2011. Gamers are no longer just the reclusive, acne-faced geeks who play final fantasy in their parents' basements. While not athletic, electronic gaming is just another form of entertainment. Just last week I played Donkey Kong Country and Actraiser 2 with my girlfriend on my old SNES. We had a great time, enjoyed some drinks, and things went from there.

If gaming is your entire identity, perhaps you may have some issues with women (as well as with other important aspects of your life such as school and careers). But for all the gamers out there that may feel a bit insecure about playing their portables in public (or playing pokemon, mario bros, whatever). Your insecurity is your first obstacle to attaining women, not your game boy.

Albeit, I may not introduce myself to a girl at a party by saying "Hey, fun party huh? Want to play some DS with me?" But if hobbies came into the conversation, I honestly would not hesitate to mention that I love gaming.

Whether it be gaming, reading, sports, etc. I say just embrace your hobbies and interests, be confident and motivated, and I can assure you that you can get a girl.

Please excuse the length of this comment, but I really think that the whole (gamer != guy who gets girls) thing is untrue.

I cant believe people actually give a shit about this. This is typically Sony ego that comes up when ever they launch a console and we all know Nintendo is just going to end up trumping whatever sony has so what the point in getting upset?
