Personally - I would just have just a [encrypted] code printed on the card that the end user types into a webpage [not under the sticker]. The 'encryption' key is unique to each company Acekard distributes to

(when entering the code - they also enter the distributor name)

Once done the code is sent to Acekard server to be checked against a database - where it's un-encrypted & checked...... If the code exist - then it's a genuine card. If not - it's a fake.

Once checked the code is then 'flagged' as checked - if the code is flagged too many times, then it's suspected it's been cloned.

Because the 'encryption' key is unique to each distributor - it's easy to find out who had sold that particular card, & if the distributor makes a note of who they sold the card to (the code could be also printed on the box) ... it can be traced back to the buyer....

The only way the code can be cracked is if the 'cloners'...
a) get the encryption key
b) get the database
Which IIRC would be quite difficult to crack

Why don't they just log how many times each serial has been checked, and show it on the genuine/non-genuine page, so that if a fake company dupes a single serial number, the user will know that this serial has been checked a whole bunch of time by other users...

Or you can buy a flashcard that you don't have to worry if its a clone or not.

This.

Using coding to try to circumvent copying of carts is a bit what Nintendo is trying to prevent carts running in the first place. It isn't that hard to get around and it might actually make it easier to copy a code and say it's legit. The user is the one that loses in this tryout. I really do doubt the usefulness of a code that can't be seen by the user without destroying the whole cart structure (AK2i is flimsy as is already). Imagine having to permanently issue every user to do the paper trick. Not very nice considering being a consumer..

That's not even irony, but I'm going to assume you were just trolling and aren't that stupid, so I'm not going to pull out a chart.

It can be classed as ironic as its the opposite of what you would expect a company that deals is hardware to pirate games to be worried about being pirated themselves.

Irony is also :- an outcome of events contrary to what was, or might have been, expected

its not just the use of words to convey a meaning that is the opposite of its literal meaning

and I think its ironic

Since Wood cards R4i DSN & R4i Gold are clones of Acekard, I don't see any point in this fake detection.

DSTT had a "fake killer" and it got disabled.

Everybody who thinks R4i DSN & R4i Gold are good cards and is for "fake killing" is a liar.

Acekard clones are usually $5 cheaper and much better in build quality. And Im talking about the clones Acekard made themselfe (R4 Ultra, R4 Gold 2.0).

So: Let the best one win.

It's just the same.

I know about the DSTT fake killer, just have a look at my postings concerning this topic. DSTT fake killer did nothing other than scaring people.

It got disabled for every scene relesese of DSTT firmware.

So: Why is there a "fake detection" on Akaio, if there are much cheaper and better cards with 100% the same hardware? Even made by Team Acekard themself?

The fact that Wood runs faster on a fake Acekard (R4iDSN) than "fake killer" Akaio runs on a real Acekard (AK2i), and the fact that this fake Acekard has a better "build qualiy" for less money might change your mind.

Acekard is no longer #1. It's #3 now, in fact. Right after Wood & DS2.

Change that, plze.

I ripped of sticker and scratched a bit of code so I couldn't see if it's 3 or 8.
Written code with spaces show me info:
Sorry, the Anti-Counterfeit code is not exsit! You bought a FAKE Acekard!
Than code without space same info.
Finally without spaces correct number shows:
This Anti-Counterfeit code is correct! You bought a REAL Acekard!
If this code shows had been checked already but it's your first time to check then you
maybe bought a fake card. Please contact your vendor for refund.

Is it legit? I think so. What info do you've got?
