Runs on DStwo clean mode fine, haven't started a new game so I don't know about the EXP deal... most likely will work since it is the DStwo.

The one on the J version could be bypassed by changing a few signs with a hex editor, but I have no clue how those people figure out which to replace and with what O:

Surely it's not in the same place as in the J one, and its not the same characters that would need to be replaced by the same ones, right?

Well, people say that it "works" on AKAIO 1.8.5 does that mean it runs, but still no exp? or what?

I beat my 2 friends, and did not gain any exp.

Same happened to me with the ESP rom and i'M using 1.8.5.

Make Sure that the AP is Turned On and not kept on Default
or back your stuff up and Reformat your SD card and put a new
AKAIO 1.8.5 on there

One of my friends from an old job is getting this on launch day this Friday and he's going apeshit at me right now. He posted how excited he was about it on Facebook last night and I may have accidentally mentioned that I've been playing it in English for several months....

But to be fair I did tell him about the free monkey pokemon and how to get a head start so the second gym leader's dog doesn't pwn fuck outta him. So I think I made up for it.

I formatted my SD, put a fresh 1.8.5 (and 1.8.5a) on it, put the latest loaders on there, but I'm still stuck on the yellow Loading screen, no matter if I enable/disable/default AP Bypass. Weird.

Maybe because the english Pokemon names are mostly different and not directly translatable. I usually prefer english versions too, however, since I'm not really familiar with the english Pokemon names, I always play the german ones.

I played only german version up all to Emerald, since I was gettin them from Austria, and coz I was familiar with the ger man names only. Around that point I was into the TCG which I could buy in Slovenia and was in english. I figured the english names were way cooler no matter what pokemon I checked. I'm glad I switched to english poke games then. Gen4 had lots of crap german names. Actually the previous gens too, but it's not as obvious since I knew them all since I was a kid.
Gen5 is no exception. Just saw the full list on filbs pokewiki today. Oh man. Also I noticed this time lots of them are surprisingly similar to the french ones, and almost none seem to have been influenced by the english ones. My guess is that nintendo of America was making up the english names, and NoE all the other european ones around the same times...
