I have v10 mIOS.

You need a way to run gamecube homebrew application on your Wii. In my case I use SD Media Launcher (so no need to install custom MIOS). Another way is to install custom MIOS.

As I already stated, "I've tried running it from wii explorer as Gamecube Homebew from the front SD."

Sure, but you need a custom MIOS installed to run GameCube Homebrew. Install one with the "Custom MIOS Installer rev5" (needs Network connection or MIOSv10.wad in SD root). Without a patched or custom MIOS your Wii is unable to boot GC Homebrew even if you have Software such as WiiXplorer or HB Filter installed.

I tried to run cMIOS Installer rev5 with a network (Network works with other stuff on the Wii). Nothing happens. Blank screen. As in I don't get to start selecting anything.

I tried again with MIOSv10.wad on the root of my SD. Same as above.

Renamed MIOS-64-v10.wad on the root of my SD. Same as above.

This was done with my USB and everything gamecube unplugged.

A question I can't find an answer to: does swiss support shrunken (scrubbed) games?

I kinda think it does (at least: Wario world works with a smaller-than-full-size iso), but I'm not sure if that goes for just any game. Anyone has an idea?

(oh, and...what program is best to use to scrub games?)

It's not called srubbing here, it's called shrinking. Many tools that handle gamecube .iso files can do it, but you need to be careful with games that actually contain audio streaming. If they do, then 95% of the shrinkers avaiable "destroy" the .iso, but i don't really know a shrinker that's working fine. Wimm wanted to integrate some gamecube stuff into his tools, but i haven't checked his project for ages. I also told him about the shrinking audio streaming games problem, so i guess if it's integrated, it's done properly. Or you get an option to align all files by 32K, which is what the shrinkers do not and breaks audio streaming games.

You can also shrink the .iso and then fstfix the .iso to align all files to 32K, this should also work.

I have modchip in Wii and I can play burned GC DVD, ....I just got IDE-EXI, and I have 500 GB HDD formated FAT32...

All I need is bootable GC ISO image with swiss, .... no cMios or other Wii stuff, .... just plain ISO which I will burn on mini DVD, and start it in Wii in GC-mode (with swiss if possible as only app), select IDE-EXI on slot B (regular memory card on slot A) and start some .gcm image ....

I there any info how to build such ISO, or maybe there is somewhere already built ISO ???

With chip you don't need Swiss to boot GC from DVD-R ..... I need Swiss for use with IDE-EXI adapter ...

I don't really understand. With the cMIOS i recommend, you can:
- Play retail GC games from disc channel
- Launch GC homebrew such as Swiss
- Play GC backups from discs using NeoGamma(requires cIOS + old enough Wii)
- Use a retail Action Replay disc in the disc channel(would also work with the oldest MIOS, v4)

You cannot:
- Play backup GC discs from disc channel

It's a great cMIOS. I personally think I'm going to switch to it as soon as my IDE-EXI adapter arrives. Once that gets here I'm moving my disc channel off to the back of the menu. I won't have a need for it anymore since the only time I'll be loading from disc is when debugging GC titles with Wiird. In fact Swiss may support ocarina cheat systems soon too. so at that point I'll only have discs laying around collecting dust lol.

I just ordered a SD Gecko!Correct me if I am wrong, but does Swiss requires an original retail GC disc to be always in the Wii drive in order to play isos from the SD card?
Also,as I have a huge collection of original GC games,is it possible to rip them using Swiss or I have to download them via internet?Or even better, does it support trimmed GC isos?
