Well, they are the first ones using it with 3D technologyBut the idea is just a camera and a piece of paper.
Look at this video for example, the camera just needs a particular shape to recognize and a model to show and that's it. There's plenty of AR stuff on youtube.

Nintendo's history of course!machomuu said:But honestly, where did they come up with the AR card idea. It's cool and innovative, but seriously, it's kind of random.

So... few time ago Nintendo said that they will really have to help the third party developers on 3DS, to not fall in the same situation as Wii (only first party are well sold, well presented to the public, and other modest devs are dropping the console little by little).
And when you ask Reggie the best games to buy in the line-up, answer is clear :
- nintendogs (nintendo)
- pilotwings (nintendo)
- steel diver (nintendo)
This guy upset me. really. Does he have to boost only his company? He even doesn't try to talk about third party titles and focus only on Nintendo games. Personally I plan to take one and only one game at launching, it will be Street Fighter.
Real gamers are not blind, and not always very rich. When you want to buy a 3DS (250 euros) plus a game (50 more) to begin your experience with the console, you'll probably not take Nintendogs.
I had the opportunity to test all the launching games (and some few planned for the following months). It's only my opinion of course, but we are searching quality and Nintendo launch titles seriously sux Reggie.
