I guess it isn't "new" but rather "new to me". I don't really know much about 3D technology.

Well, they are the first ones using it with 3D technology

But the idea is just a camera and a piece of paper.

Look at this video for example, the camera just needs a particular shape to recognize and a model to show and that's it. There's plenty of AR stuff on youtube.
Well now I just feel stupid

AR is pretty underground, I casually found about it because of a tip channel I'm subscribed to @Youtube. I heard of it again at McDonald's with a weird Avatar toy and then nothing until the 3DS so, no problem

But honestly, where did they come up with the AR card idea. It's cool and innovative, but seriously, it's kind of random.
Nintendo's history of course!
They were a card game company.

They could sell these like ... yugioh or pokemon cards 5 or 6 in each pack. GOTTA CATCH 'EM ALL!
On yugioh, it'd be cool is konami made their next yugioh game show the monster in 3d if you place the card in front of the camera.
magic the gathering or any card game. don't care, it'd be cool.

I personally like the way the Interviewer does his interviews, sure he's arrogant and sometimes says stupid things but it show's he's not afraid to Press or Ask the questions that need to be pressed or asked.

Warning: Nintendo hardcore fans, do not read the following lines, you could hate me.

So... few time ago Nintendo said that they will really have to help the third party developers on 3DS, to not fall in the same situation as Wii (only first party are well sold, well presented to the public, and other modest devs are dropping the console little by little).
And when you ask Reggie the best games to buy in the line-up, answer is clear :
- nintendogs (nintendo)
- pilotwings (nintendo)
- steel diver (nintendo)

This guy upset me. really. Does he have to boost only his company? He even doesn't try to talk about third party titles and focus only on Nintendo games. Personally I plan to take one and only one game at launching, it will be Street Fighter.
Real gamers are not blind, and not always very rich. When you want to buy a 3DS (250 euros) plus a game (50 more) to begin your experience with the console, you'll probably not take Nintendogs.
I had the opportunity to test all the launching games (and some few planned for the following months). It's only my opinion of course, but we are searching quality and Nintendo launch titles seriously sux Reggie.

What if he mentioned Street Fighter? All it does is give people the ammunition to say "Oh, so he didn't mention xxxx. It's obvious what game he likes". Reggie's in a high position and can't play favorites with third party titles.

He was asked about what Nintendo was publishing for launch day.

Nintendo shouldn't even care about third parties.
A third party hasn't made more than a single good game on any of their systems since the snes.
Their quality is lacking, and that is why people don't buy them.
Angry birds is very disposable btw.

This interview is the perfect example of a interviewer trying to bait an interviewee into punching them in the face.
Right from the start, he's trying to piss off Reggie.
