Gaming Are there any games like Kirby's Epic Yarn?

My partner is a casual, infrequent gamer. When she does play games, they're usually word games or bejeweled-type games on her laptop. I've had her try NSMBWii, Wii Sports/Resort, and a couple others, but there is only one game that has ever caught her interest on Wii: Kirby's Epic Yarn. She simply loves playing it, and even talks to her friends about it.

I've had a lot of fun playing with her, but since she's not big on collecting items, we don't have much left to do in Kirby now that we've beat every level.

I want to play another game with her, but it's tough to find one. I asked her what she liked about Kirby, and I was told two things:

The art style - i.e. "They made this game at Joann Fabric"
The easiness - i.e. "You don't die you just poop out coins"

Kirby's Epic Yarn didn't seem unique to me at first, but I honestly can't think of any other non-death 2D sidescrollers with cute graphics across any platform, and I've been gaming since my Atari 2600. NSMBWii, by the way, is "too hard" and "not cute."

-Animal Crossing
-Ivy the Kiwi
-A Boy and His Blob (Only 1P)

Hmm...isn't the fact that it's a co-op game also part of the reason why she likes it? My girlfriend is in the same situation (in fact, she's getting into quilting because of Epic yarn), but she likes NSMBW as well. The reason: most women tend to prefer doing things together over competition. This shows clearly in the games women tend to enjoy (the sims and world of warcraft are clear examples).

As for the style...I'm afraid this is pretty unique. In fact, it's the only thing I think the kirby game really stands out over other games, as I never saw anything like it.

More games she may like:

-boom blox (and sequel): no idea how hard the game is, but the concept is simple enough for casual gamers (throwing things at the screen).
-endless ocean (and sequel): impossible to die and a nice, soothing art style as well
-new super mario bros wii. Two weeks back, I brought my wii to a weekend with friends. Mario was at least as popular with the women as with the men (though it has to be mentioned that though it's not as hard with 2 players, it's by no means as easy as Kirby).

Maybe:
-music games. Okay, the style is by no means comparable. But it's co-op, and unless you put the thing on a high difficulty, they're pretty easy. The main problem is which one to buy (at that same weekend, we had to switch rock band and band hero to keep everyone happy)
-Zack & Wiki: I don't know this game. It looks to have a nice theme and has high ratings by users, but IIRC it's a point & click puzzle game. No idea if it has multiplayer to begin with (though this list says it does).
-little king's story. same as above, but this is more a simulation RPG (and that is taken from the wikipedia-page).

You may also want to take a look at wiiware games. There are quite a few reasonable to decent puzzlers on there (tetris, dr mario, tv show king, ...).

Agree with Tagg7's list (my girl also loves world of goo...mostly because of the sounds).

Realizing this is an old post, but since the game in question was relatively unique and one I looked for a while to update for my kids, I wanted to point out the intellectual successor to Kirby's Epic Yarn on Wii U is probably:
