It doesn't work with CF3B5's proxy server (Connection time out).

Logan5's proxy doesn't work on my computer (missing mswinsck.ocx file)
Does it need .Net 4.0 ? (I have only 3.5).

And I confirm that 3.41 (with spoof3.50) is working using the DNS method

But I don't have a PSN account. I can only connect to the "what's new", it asked me for my birthday and now I have a new screen with 3 squares + a "PS Store" under the game menu.
I can browse the "what's new" game content without a PSN account.

Edit : it stoped working 1min ago. (18h20 GMT+1)
Now there's a new message "the service is in maintenance" ahaha !

Edit 2 : It's working again. (20H)

DNS method :
go to your network settings
click on internet connection settings
click on the custom method

configure as you want up to the IP configuration and choose "Manual" (custom?), then :

IP adress : choose an IP (192.168.x.x)
mask : 255.255.255.0
Router : your router IP (192.168.x.x)
Primary DNS : 67.202.81.137

I just tested both methods and they both work perfectly. I'm able to access the store and all features of PSN. I'm sticking with the first method so I don't need to have LG5Tool open at all times, but it's nice to have a backup in case the DNS method fails.

I'm on a non-jailbroken 3.50, I hope to stay this way until I can finally downgrade and jailbreak.

So, does this also work on a 3.41 non-jailbroken PS3, or not?
I just tried without jailbreak, using the DNS method, It detects the new update and want to install it.
So, no, it need the spoof3.50 at least.

CF3B5 doesn't seem to be an invisible proxy (it should send X-forwarder requests), so it's not working and says "server connection time out". (Too bad, I like this proxy functionality)
I can't try with Logan5's Tool, but I think it should work if it's an invisible proxy. Someone may try it.

Edit :
I read on a French forum (gxmod) that people updating to 3.55 and using the French internet provider "SFR - 9box" can't connect to PSN anymore.
Sony and SFR are checking the problem.
French topic on Sony's forum here

Maybe other providers in other countries can encounter the same problem.

I'm really annoyed with these forced updates.
I don't have any jailbreak thingy going on, i don't even want to pirate, but still i have to wait forever to patch the security flaw... i hate it.. internet on my ps3 is incredibly slow (don't know why, though it's probably because of the signal strength being looow)

You could download the update using the below link and put it on a USB to install onto your PS3.

I don't want mice on my PS3, so in this particular case, I hope the cat takes care of business as it should.

I agree with you.

Sorry to hear your internet is like that Issac, but you have to keep in mind that it wouldn't be as many updates if people didn't try hacking the system :/

EDIT: With 3.50 spoof

Not sure, check your settings is all I can say really. I left the secondary DNS blank (0.0.0.0) if that makes any difference. I'm on the official 3.50 firmware, haven't jailbroken or downgraded, so it should work for anyone else. It's only a matter of time until Sony catches on, but for now it's still working.

It's not Sony's fault, is it?

Sony is dealing good with this sh*t.. I like running homebrew, but if the system is completely hacked (lv1 access), it only benefits pirates with custom firmwares to play online. PS3 is like the only (7th generation) console that is hacker free online (except for the safe game hacks), and this will probably change if it is completely hacked. That's why I'm against it.

Also, the only reason why homebrew is nice, is to enable Linux again (okay and emulators too). The PS3 has enough features already. Who likes playing those shitty homebrew games? If you like them, go play the PC.

Just my 2 cents

It's kinda weird. Everything you can do with homebrew, can be done on the PC. So why so much of a hassle to enable it on a PS3? Methinks the main use is still piracy (even if it isn't the real purpose of the actual hackers).

Meh, hope Sony fixes this now and forever. The current jailbreakers have what they want: homebrew. They even have OtherOS (and AsbestOS) back. So why don't stop and stay at 3.41? The pirates can s*ck my b*lls

Not so logical, I think, but if you want to look at it this way... I'm not going to stop you
