Yes, I'm on 3.41 PAL + spoof 3.50 (using PL3 payload from 12 nov) with rockbox device + on a Slim320Go.

The Spoof I'm using replace the model_85 (PAL) to model_82 (debug).
The first spoof released (11 nov) was a simple firmware Spoofing without model/board spoofing (maybe that's why it's not working for everyone)
I don't know which board version your file are spoofing to.
I can explain how to know it if you want.



Your screens are fine.
Though, I don't have the same second screen than you.
I only have 2 lines on the connection testing screen : Obtain IP and Internet connection.
I guess that's because I don't have a PSN account, but I don't even have the uPNP, NAT and Speed test.
Are you really on 3.41 ?


Go to system/system information
Verify that your Firmware version correctly report 3.50 and not 3.41 when booting with the spoof payload.

If DNS is not working, you can try the Logan5's tool.
It will route the connexion through the Proxy and the firmware version checking will be replace with an older version, so the PS3 doesn't detect a new version and don't ask you to update before connecting to PSN. (that's the only thing the Proxy is doing).
DNS is doing the same trick, but on a remote server instead of a resident program on your computer.

I get mswinock error when running Logan's tool, already tried dling the file and placing it in required folders.

But I don't have a PSN account. I can only connect to the "what's new", it asked me for my birthday and now I have a new screen with 3 squares + a "PS Store" under the game menu.
I can browse the "what's new" game content without a PSN account.

Hmm Im sure you must have it wrong. I done both those tricks and its asking to update when trying to sign on psn YET I can see the whats new content. Can you please make a psn account and see if you can sign on please?

I don't want to sign their license for the moment, so I won't create a PSN account.
But I can assure you that I'm not having anything wrong.

Here are the results I'm having :
• DNS method :
Without spoof (3.41Eur) : please update. (The problem can be either : 1- DNS not working and not serving an older version of ps3-updatelist.txt, 2- DNS working but PSN server is checking the real firmware)
With spoof 3.50 : PSN store browsing enabled, PSN register account menu enabled. (Here I guess the PSN server is failing to check the real firmware version, so maybe it's the DNS which has a problem)

• CF3B5's Proxy method with serving 3.41 as latest firmware information:
Without spoof (3.41Eur) : Register account : first screen work. "new account" or "use existing account" show a message "Server connexion timeout". PSN Store doesn't work, I have this message "This service can't be used in this country or region".
With spoof 3.50 :Register account : first screen work. "new account" or "use existing account" show a message "Server connexion timeout". (it's part of their anti-proxy protection).

• Logan5's proxy method :
I coudn't run it, I'm missing winsocket driver.
I don't want to mess with reg32 and install an unknown driver.


Like I read in another forums, that DNS trick is not working for everyone, I guess you are in the wrong side.

It seems to depend on the country and if you are in spoof or real 3.50.
There's comment that UK + original 3.50 is working, but I couldn't find any report about a spoof3.50 working in UK, sorry.

Could you set your PS3 to use proxy, and use CF3B5 proxy instead of Logan5 ?

Then, test your internet connection on PS3 network menu, and you will have the http requests written in the proxy's log.
on the proxy, click on the link saying ps3-updatelist.txt
tell me the number you see in this file :
85 = Eur server
82 = debug server
83 = jp server (seems the spoof I'm using is set to 83).

I thought it could be something like DNS replacing trick working with japanese updatelist, but not with a different region.

yes mate i was on playstation store and downloaded a couple of game updates , but when i tried a couple of multiplayer games it was asking for update so i left it !

are you sure your ps3 ip and router ip are correct ? what isp are you with ? ( just a thought )

what you can do is set up the connection automatically as you normally would then go into the settings to see what ip and router ip is , if they dont match to the ones your using , then here lies your problem ! ( thats what i done )

im with bt using the black bthub v2.0 :

like i said these are what was given when using automatic settings , so i just used the same when i manually set it up !

i cant log into PSN using either method, using PL3 PSN Evilsperm from 11.12 on rockboxed sansa e200, internet connection works with either method, but anytime i try to sign in to psn it tells me theres an update available, i am on jailbroken 3.41 with 3.5 spoof, though my ps3 phat does allow me to check whats new and browse the psn store but i cant download anything until i sign in to psn, while my slim wont let me see anything before i sign into psn, using same method for both ps3s

Sorry, I don't have an account, nor want to buy anything from PSN anyway.
So I can't test downloading something, only browse what's new.


I also read on other forums that the PSN need "reactivation", but I really don't understand why, nor what deactivates it.
to reactivate your already downloaded games, you need to update to 3.50, redownload all your games needing reactivation, backup your HDD, downgrade, restore HDD.
the .act (license file) will then be correct and allow access to PSN.

But that for already owned games.

are you using a phat ps3? cause on my phat im able to browse the store and check whats new, but when i have to download something it asks to log in and once i try it tells me to update, also on the slim internet settings, while it checks for ip and internet, it checks for psn afterwards and that always fails for whatever reason, see the phat doesnt have this, when you test connections on phat it only checks for internet access

Was on 3.40, I updated it to 3.41 manually.
When testing connection, there's only IP+internet.
