Take pictures!
I wanna see the flash cart in action
(I probably won't buy one until the cost goes down/reliability goes up)
Maybe when emulators are released, but I like having DS games individual.
All of my GBA games are on my computer

It feels weird to have a GBA SP but no GBA games to play on it...

plus, NeoFlash needs some DS images to be dumped, or else nobody actually needs the NeoFlash...and I'm positive that some nice persons, like shaunj66
wink.gif
, will dump and release their DS games as soon as they get their free NeoFlash kit

from the looks of it the neoflash kit will not allow you to dump ds carts
So.... we're going to have to use this to develop games? SHOCKAH. Seriously, I really want to take up homebrewing one day. Would be nice to be to make the first SNES emulation.

All I can say is poor Nintendo. DS not even a year old and already flashkits. Just think of the profit loss Nintendo will have because of this. I know not everyone buys flash carts, but a good portion does and I'm sure it reflects on their numbers.

Can't we say the same for Sony and the PSP? Including a function to allow memory cards to be used means that emulation is only just around the corner.

But if the big N would've released more games before this came out they would have recieved a big profit. but nooo..... They have to release games in a trickle (if that fast
wink.gif
) Now granted it would be a while before alot of DS users switch to a flash card, so hopefully this will give a swift kick in the arse to release more at a faster rate..

uhm, right
I forgot...the writer's using GBA cards, not DS cards...well, shoot

then they're releasing DS games theirselves, or just the know-how about how to do it

including a function to update the firmware means even more than that

well, maybe... but maybe also now ppl will go "WOW!" and every1 will rush to buy a DS just COZ of the new flashkit

so more handhelds being sold gives a better profit... well, maybe lol...

If this works great, I'll buy one later. But first I must go for PSP... it's a shame I need to take $70 out of that fund for another year of xbox live lol

It will be interesting to see how well this works, if you compare the current lineup of GBA flashcarts against the original ones released so very long ago. The only ones are almost unuseable.

Though unlike the gba secne, there arent any ds emulators or many rom dumps to drive the sales of a flash cart. So I dont see DS flashcarts currently being as popular as the gba ones were when they were first released.

But I would like to get my hands on one of these. I'll be buying most of my Ds games anyway to support the console (already bought 6 or something close). However a flash cart will give me the chance to try out alot of games that I would have never touched otherwise especially japanese games.

Yeah lutomes, I feel the same way. Love my DS and love owning the little cards. I have bought 7 games allready, but there is a bunch I would never buy but would love to try out just to check them out. Especially would like to get my hands on Naruto that just came out in Japan.

Just because this unit doesn't dump games does not mean there won't be any dumps. You can bet if darkfader can do it that others can as well and that it won't be long after this releases that you will see all the other games released I am sure.

Wish they went the extra mile though and made their gba cart up to 4gbit like some other companies are just getting around to doing. With gba games and ds games on it that space will go super fast.

I wonder if you just need the ds pass through part and not the gba cartridge itself. It would seem to make sense that it would work with any gba flash card.

I still have an original platinum SP
gbasp2.gif
but coupled with an awesome EZFA; I have been having a lot of fun these last few years.

If this cart reviews ok, I will get one if the price is right.

Still it's early days ... I'm waiting on a good deal before I splash out on a
nds.gif
!!!

Heh, and to think less than a week ago virtually everyone was calling this a fake... *sigh*

Anyway looking forward to its release... it's pretty amazing how quickly the DS scene is taking off, I can't imagine any sort of alternative flash carts coming out for a while yet.

*Considers changing name to shaunj66... he always gets stuff to review, bah*
