Hi I used this guide (http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=171901) to get everything working and have installed usb loader gx (runs through the homebrew channel), if I use this updater to update to 4.3 Europe will all those stuff still work, I want to keep the system updated so my family doesnt have a problem playing any future games that need this firmware

Everything should still work. ASLONG as you updating through Waninkoko's updater, you'll have a nice "v4.3 Wanin" (I think that is what others said lol.) on the top right side of your system settings menu and still be able to play your games.

Ok thanks, can someone tell me the steps that need to be done to update to 4.3 using this updater as up until now ive been using the official updates and then using tools like bannerbomb to get the homebrew channel

ATM im on the border between sticking with 4.2 until there is a game that needs 4.3 and using this tool now to update to 4.3
There will never be a game that "needs" 4.3 or 4.2 or 4.0, etc. (you get the picture). All games do not care what the system menu is as they do not use/run off the system menu. There may be a certain non-system menu IOS that it needs to be updated in order to run but you can do that manually. I myself am on 3.2 still and I can run any game I want to just by having updated IOS's.

Ah right ok but wouldnt it be easier to install this and future versions of the firmware updater over finding out what ios is needed for a certain game because the firmware update will come with all those built in wouldnt it

Hi I just updated, chose to patch the ios and the system menu, after it was done I tried usb loader gx and NO game worked, my heart stopped for like a minute then I went back to default settings and its now working again.

I hate Nintendo and any other device, I OWN THE DEVICE so I should be able to do what I want to do with it and not worry about something breaking

oh and my startpatch settings is gone also

so I got that annoying childrens music in the background, can I just download it again and reapply the options I want or do I need to wait for them to update to support 4.3

Wait for StartPatch 4.3 which I hope comes out soon.

Okay, wtf. I have 950 free blocks open on my Wii and 100 mb free on my 2gb SD card. And I STILL get a ret -1 error. What am I doing wrong? Not enough free space on my SD card? My Wii is on 4.0 U.

1) Blocks disc/online updates.
2) IOS80 is patched too (and the patch works).

I have installed 4.3J by using this Updater 4.3b.
But I found the 'Block disc update' doesn't work.

Is there anybody also got the same result ??

Hi guys, i have been reading all your posts here, so i have this question, a friend updated his Wii from 4.2U to this 4.3Wanin (lol) and now he said that The Conduit game is requesting an Update on the disc channel, should he update? or should he use NUS Downloader to go back to 4.2U? or what can he do?
i haven't updated my wii since i think its not necessary.

Thanks a lot for your time!
Good day people!

No Game has a 4.3 update included yet. So it must be an outdated IOS.
I'd say it's safe to update from that disk.
To be safe your friend can use GeckoOS to load the game, which will only install the needed IOS.
Also he probably should install priiloader and block updates.

So if I use the 4.3b update on my Wii (currently running softmodded 4.2U) this will update me to 4.3 Wan and my homebrew channel and everything else that's on there will be unaffected and I'll be able to access the Wii shop again? I just want to make sure that nothing I have so far will be affected by the update, and I realize it's not necessary to update, but I figure if the update works, why the hell not?

Ok. Fair enough.

I think I remember seeing somewhere that there's a way just to patch my Wii Shop channel so I can still access it. Am I right, or am I delusional? And if I am right, can someone tell me how to do it or link me to some instructions? Thanks a lot guys!

Hello!
I've updated the Firmware to 4.3b (Waninkoko of course) but I did NOT put the option to patch System Menu and IOS
So at this point everytime I put a game (Mario Galaxy 2) it demands to update the system, is there any way to reinstall the Firmware Update 4.3b or any other patcher I can use to block UPDATES from the Disc Channel...

I hope there is a solution,
Thanks!

Isn't PRIILOADER recommending NOT TO install the software if we have the System Menu 4.3 (even if its cracked) because it will have read/write errors?

Install Priiloader and use Block disc updates in system menu hacks.

Put this hacks.ini file on the root of your sd card. ( you can delete it after you enable the hacks. )
