maybe if the dol file for the main program is hacked it can be used to point to a different server.

And get what from that server ? Pr0n or something ?
You really don't understand how Netflix works do you ?
Netflix is a streaming service. The content is streamed from their servers to unique IP addresses.
When you subscribe, you activate your account trough your computer with it's unique IP address.
In addition, you can add 4 more streaming devices that are linked to your account.
In order to do so, you have to activate such streaming device ( in this case the Wii ) from your PC with it's unique IP address which is linked to your name and subscription.
Are you still dreaming of hacking that ? Are you claiming that everything is possible ?
This would be pretty much like hacking your phone line so you can make phone calls for free. Or hacking your cable modem and get Internet for free. Or hacking your satellite receiver to view pay per View content for free. Do you think that's a possibility ?
The content on the Wii disc is merely a player, there is nothing magical in it that could be " hacked ", unless you are a monster hacker and could hack Netflix servers yourself ( If you are that good you should hack the Pentagon Computers as well ). Quit fantasizing on it already.

all of that has been done
so i believe there will be a way there is always a loop hole just give it time to be found

Dont know how this is going to work. I believe the accounts and discs are linked when they ship. So that might be a problem.

I can't think of ANY cd or dvd media that can be linked to a single serial # from a burn, Wii or otherwise.

When you log on your Netflix web account, it gives you a code to type into your Wii while your PC web browser is active. Links up that way. Quick, painless. There's currently no roundabout way to crack into Netflix via this loader.

Scratch that, reverse it.

I have Netflix and I have the disc for the Wii.

The disc is required for Netflix play on the Wii. You can also put it on USB loader and run it that way as well. Once the disc is in and loaded, you'll have to link your Wii to your Netflix account. The Netflix wii will send a confirmation to your online Netflix account. Once you log in via a computer and accept it, your Wii will sync with your account.

There is no Netflix channel because of software licensing agreements between Netflix and Microsoft. Their current agreement only allows Microsoft to carry a channel on the system. This is why the PS3 and Wii both require a disc.

Dont you mean an agreement between Nintendo and netflix not microsoft and netflix.. Microsoft would be Xbox.. and for this comment

I have All of this hacked already. And its all cost effective.. EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE..

Hacking PHone line get a magic jack or you can use a free voip

Hacking your cable modem (hello Haxorware is 100% free no subscription)

Hacking satelite receiver - FTA receiver you can hack into them to get free PPV for the rest of your life.

If you dont know than dont bash other people for trying.. At least they are taking steps in the right direction to get this netflix figured out..

But since this netflix you have to pay for.. the best way would be to get mplayer and hook up a Usb Hard drive (fat 32 formatted just like xbox 360) and it will play hd content but the wii can only display standard definition anyways

Yes, Microsoft has an agreement with Netflix that only XBOX can use a channel to stream Netflix (requires XBOX gold account). Wii and PS3 get around this by using a disc. Once the Microsoft agreement expires, Wii and PS3 will be able to stream without a disc as well.

this has been out since the last week in march and the scrubbed version is only 38.5 MB

you MUST have a netflix account. however, you can use multiple devises per account but only one at a time.

Not entirely true.
Yesterday for example, my brother was watching a movie on the PC and I was watching Knight Rider ( the original series ) trough the Wii both at the same time.
So I can testify 100% that Netflix works on multiple devices at the same time.

FYI hacking a phone line ( and free voip doesn't count and it's not the same thing, I could get movies on the internet for free too but not free movies from Netflix ) could lead you to jail and so is hacking the cable tv ( opposite to piracy which in small cases only leads to a fine ).
We are talking about something else here.
People hoping to hack the Netflix Disc. This has nothing to do with how the movies get delivered to you.
You need a subscription of some kind to access the content. If you want to illegally access their content and stream it to your player of choice is entirely another matter.
Would you think that they wouldn't realize if somebody is illegally downloading stuff from their servers ?
It might be possible, but there is a lot more at stake then just hacking the dol of the Wii disc. That's all I'm saying.

Correct, though obviously not in HD. If you have a Netflix account, then you are good to go.

I was just gving an example but if you want something to count than you can just hack into the phone box outside of everyones house and you can get it for free(and has been around a known since phones existed).

Either way your gonna be using the phone to call people...

Do i think Netflix is gonna realize someone is streaming for free when they have tens of millions of customers trying to stream at the same time???? HELL NO Theyre not gonna realize squat..
There is definately lost of ways to hack into this As long as the end result is your getting streamed movies straight to your console. who cares if you have a subscription.. DO you think the cable companies realize people are stealing internet with the hacked modems???? HELL NO...

I find it really funny how people think this dump will somehow give them free access to Netflix streaming content. It won't happen. Don't you think they have systems and checks in place? Ever hear of DRM?

The only thing on the disc is a player.

this isnt for people who want to hack netflix... this is for ppl that have netflix and want to use it on usb loader so they dont have to use the actual disc. there is no way around using a neflix account.

Well, you might be able to hack it to stream videos off of your computer but why bother when WiiMC/MplayerCE have support for shared folders built in, no Netflix server emulator needed. Not to mention that WiiMC/MplayerCE have much better video codec support than the player on the Netflix disc.

It's not a channel, you HAVE to use the disk.

Unless you put it on a USB loader or something, obviously.
But then you can just make a forwarder channel and ef the system! Make netflix a installed channel like it should be.

check this link for a great forwarder with animation & sound.

you'll have to join the forum to see the link (but its a pretty great forum anyways)

all of the above is already possible and easy and simple to do :/
I know someone that's had hacked satellite TV for 7 years(and you get everything free every channel not just pay per view) and hacked phone for 3

DarkFocus wasn't asking if all the above was possible. He was stating it. He was asking if it was possible to hack the Netflix to play something other than Netflix videos.
