Tutorial Modify ANY Wii 4.3 & below

well I think I got it..the wad manager was just buggy or something. if I hit "2" for file operations then I could see what it was I was selecting when I wasn't able to see the cursor.

edit: also saw this problem mentioned in the guide later on

Can i update to 4.2 a firend wii that have 3.4 not modified using ONLINE update from wii configuration? i say this because the wii ints not modified yet, and its more simple , its the same that update using wads?

I am quite behind in wii hacking. I have a 3.4 ntsc american wii. I have I think cios rev 14. I haven't bothered updating, but I am running out of space on my wii and theres quite a few wiiware games I want to play. I know that 4.x added support to launch the games off of the sd card. Thats great.

I am wondering should I follow the guide exactly even though I already have my nand backed up, homebrew channel, the cios and all of that already installed?

Please let me knwo as I don't want to mess anything up when its workign eprfectly as of now.

Hey guys I just got USB loader gx and I don't know how to allow Wii sports resort to play on it. I know I am supposed to do something and then it crashes, but I am not sure exactly what.

does anyone have instructions on how to exactly do it?

U need the .dol file for the start up video. use wii scrub to pull the main dol out of the update partition or use google

i dont under stand. my wii sports resort is in a hard drive, and I am able to play other games, just not that one. is there a way i can load it correctly off the hard drive.???

for this game u need the .dol file on us sd card to boot the main video.after the video ends it will save u will nolonger need the .dol file..Some games are just a pian in the arse and u need minor correction for the game to work search google for the wii sports resort main.dol

for this game u need the .dol file on us sd card to boot the main video.after the video ends it will save u will nolonger need the .dol file..Some games are just a pian in the arse and u need minor correction for the game to work search google for the wii sports resort main.dol

Actually, if you expand the game options before you launch it in GX you can tell it to find the alternate dol. You than save ti saying yes you want to use tha tdol. Launch the game and it will play the motionplus video. After that I think it restarts or something, been long while since I did, but restart wii and than go into the settings for wii sports resort agan and turn off alternate dol and launch the game again. It will play great from that point on.

i used wiiscrubber to extract the main.dol re named it to the game title.dol .. easy fix .or some dowloads will include the main.dol in the download its self.make sure u turn the dol loading off or you will have to watch the video over

When I try to install Neogamma or softchip from the hbc, after i press load on the app, it just goes to a balnk screen and my wii remote stops working and my wii freezes. Someone please help me I'm so confused.

hey guys, i have a question : is it just me that i can't run bannerbomb on firmwire 4.2U? or do i have to do a downgrade for the wii to detect it?

I installed the wad files using the wad installer in the hbc and now it ahs two softchip channels on the men, one is called softchip R102M and the other is softchip music but both channels show a blank screen and freeze my wii just like the installation.

You should be able to run bannerbomb in V4.2, if you read the guide it tells you to run bannerbomb on firmware 4.2.

i tried but everytime i try loading up bannerbomb for the hackmii installer it freezes before the dialog pops up

ur using the wrong version of bannerbomb, get v2 from HERE

if u are already using v2 of bannerbomb, then u are accessing it the wrong way, instead of going to the data management screen like v1, in v2 u are required to access bannerbomb via the sd card button on the main system menu

did you run GP Dop-IOS MOD first? if not dont skip steps. sounds like you need to update ur ios's

So If I already have bootmii and HBC and stuff and im on 4.0U, what's the quicker steps to update to 4.2 without bricking my wii?

I updated yesterday from 4.0u to 4.2u and all I did was follow the guide completely.

I updated the wii offline then just remodded everything to be upto date
