Tristar:
Thanks for the details. I will try to find out what's wrong.
I have uploaded v48b2 again:
cfg48b2.dol
cfg48b2-fat.dol
Can you try both and let me know if they both work fine?
I might make also a special debugging version for you to help me understand what can be wrong with 48.

some ideas

- maybe use titles.txt to make sure the title ids are correct. I had some that were wrong and they wouldn't show covers for the longest time and it was very annoying.
- maybe when it check the wbfs folder can also check the usb-loader/covers folder and make sure it has all the covers or if it told you which ones you don't have

No probs with any debugging version you want me to try - I was pretty stunned when I downloaded a version that wasn't spot on, so if I can help just let me know

Is there a way to disable "-" so that no game can be deleted by mistake?

Thanks
Yes, add this:
disable_remove = 1
and you might want to add this too:
disable_format = 1

About the deleting, what about a message/picture/sound like Brawl uses? --- Alarm, siren, flashing lights (I think). . . .

I'm not sure how this would be accomplished, titles.txt only includes 2 things
id and game title, if the id is wrong in the game, I have no way to search titles.txt for it.
If I search for the internal game name and compare it to the entires in titles.txt they are rarely (if ever) the same and that search would also fail.

I am adding covers functionality hopefully in the next version. This was at the bottom of my list of things to do, as I was more after functionality before visual stimulation

For now, I posted 2.3 on the last page, go download it and give it a try, I made alot of changes from 2.2

That's not going to help children. The current method does give you a warning message before deletion, so I assume most people would know not to do it, and the disable options oggzee mentioned are enough to stop the kids that wildly push buttons from doing anything bad. It is also unlocked by the admin password, so you can be child-safe but still have the ability to remove games without editing config.txt

UPDATED SINCE POST DATE WITH NEW BANNER AND ICON

AS ALWAYS WITH WAD'S I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY BRICKS, ANYONE INSTALLING ANY WAD SHOULD HAVE EITHER BOOTMII/BOOT2 AND/OR PRELOADER BEFORE INSTALLING ANYTHING DANGEROUS ON THEIR WII'S, SO IF YOU DONT HAVE ANY SAFETY NET AND YOU BRICK............BLAME YOURSELF FOR YOUR OWN IGNORANCE

I have tested this and they are 100% working on sysmenu 4.1E/4.2E but let me know if there is any problems, Hybrid uses same ID as the standard Forwarder, makes to sense changing the ID seen as though you will only be using one at a time anyway

Here's a image of what it looks like

To pass the custom IOS argument to the USB loader, hold the following button after selecting start and the Wiimenu:
Hold 1 or A on WiiMote: cIOS 222
Hold 2 or B on Wiimote: cIOS 223
Hold nothing: cIOS 249
Is that cios 249 on hold nothing enforced?
Or just using default setting?
Because making it enforced is not a good idea in my opinion...

default settings i think it is im not to sure Narolez is the person to ask best but i know what your getting at for the FAT users that need 222mload to boot games

EDIT

ive update the post i was using the wrong .dol, now updated using "Hold 1 and 2 OR A and B: force ios=249" and holding nothing boots default settings

sorry about that, ive also fixed the ID forwarder there was a glitch in the CFG banner where i wasnt transparent

Hi Everyone,

I have been diligently working for the last couple of days on Simple WBFS file manager

Here is an updated version to 2.3.0.0
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AKDDEIS1

Lots of changes in this version, I have done tons of testing and bugfixing, please let me know if I missed anything. I hope you enjoy it and find it useful. Love it or hate it let me know.

Changes are as follows:
Cleaned up some functions to perform faster
Fixed bug - Could not add .iso to WBFS formatted partition
Fixed a bug that would not allow file functions in the root directory of a drive
Rewrote the download routine for titles.txt to be more efficient
Removed display of console windows (wbfs_file.exe is now a hidden process)
Relevant console output is now displayed in a dialog window at the end of processing
Added Progressbars for transfer and convert functions
Changed WBFS Drive selection to only display WBFS formatted partitions
Changed some wording to be consistant with multi-file environment
The program will no longer list non Wii .iso files
Added custom_titles.txt and an editor to manage the file to allow custom title display for games
Added Multi-File Processing - Yay no more one file at a time
Updated to use wbfs_file.exe version 1.8

what are the differences between your application and this application(http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=188...t=0&start=0?

What if you defaulted it to cIOS 222? What would be the new arrangement for it? Would pressing 1 or A make it go to cIOS 249 instead?

it doesnt matter what IOS is default it will load the IOS associated with that button and if no button is held at loader boot then it will load whatever you set it to in the config

Hold 1 and 2 OR A and B: force ios=249
Hold 1 OR A; force ios=222-mload
Hold 2 OR B: force ios=223-mload
Hold nothing: no force, loader default

so if you have 249 as loader default and hold A & B or 1 & 2 it will still load 249 and not swap IOS

Sorry, I am a late bloomer and a newbie to cfg usb loader. As I really don't have the patience to browse thru the last 30-50 pages or so (estimated since FAT32 support was released), I hope someone can answer some quick queries :

1) Since FAT32 does not support >4gb partitions, how do I convert SSBB to a WBFS file? From the FAT support FAQ, I see that the game is split into gameid.wbfs, gameid.wbf1, gameid.wbf2 etc.. so does it mean that this loader can access parts of the file(s) in sequence when needed during the game?

2) How's the compatibility so far? AFAIK, only cfg usb loader supports FAT & WBFS support right? Only hermes IOSes can be used to for FAT support?

3) When formatting a USB device (HDD/thumbdrive) with FAT32, is the default cluster size assigned during formatting usable or must it be 32kb (for compatibility)

4) There's a "cfg48-fat.dol" in the full 48 package. So is this a specific dol for running games in the FAT partition?

5) Using wbfs_file.exe + wbfs_file Simple Gui, is the conversion from WBFS back to ISO (for burning to DVD) reliable?

Thanks...

I have sent you a PM yesterday with a few more questions, but maybe you don't read PM, so here goes again:
Plase send me (to: oggzee at gmail) the following from your sd:/usb-loader/ dir:
config.txt
titles.txt
settings.cfg
gamelist.txt
(To create the gamelist.txt go to global options and press 2 to save settings)
Also: you are using a fat partition on a usb drive right?
And the usb-loader is on a SD card?
