Hi, i'm adding the new patch features to uLoader, but i only have the PAL version of NSMB...

Changes between main.dol and patched_main.dol are:

PAL main.dol

Code:
1. Q:\ISO\main_patch.dol: 3.492.608 bytes
2. Q:\ISO\main.dol: 3.492.608 bytes
Offsets: hexadec.

1AB750:ÂÂÂÂ4EÂÂÂÂ94
1AB751:ÂÂÂÂ80ÂÂÂÂ21
1AB752:ÂÂÂÂ00ÂÂÂÂFF
1AB753:ÂÂÂÂ20ÂÂÂÂD0
1CEE93:ÂÂÂÂ71ÂÂÂÂDA
1CEEAB:ÂÂÂÂ71ÂÂÂÂDA

6 diferencia(s) encontrado.

I assume that new patched bytes are in offsets 1CEE93 and 1CEEAB

Can you tell me what bytes are patched in NTSC main.dol in order to add this patch to uLoader please?

You can compare with an HEX editor...

EDIT: oh ok i get it: 0×001CED53 AND 0X001CED6B

Got the patched NTSC version working through the Disk Channel on 4.1, with CIOSCORP and with no Custom IOS38 rev whatsoever, I deleted ios249 just to see does it really need it and it doesnt, and another thing, there's no need to have ios53 installed when running it using a loader, 53 is only needed for the Disk Channel.

OK, I got both IOS53 and IOS70 installed and signed (patched?) But it's still not working. I can get a little further into the game (1-3) but it still gives me a disk read error. Anyone have any ideas? Or is there a way to actually check if those 2 IOSes are indeed Trucha patched?

Guys, I am backing up a poster above about this being very confusing....

What is CIOSCORP, Neogamma, IOS 249, etc...

Can somebody PLEASE do some explaining?

I wouldn't think of myself as a NOOB but, having gone through hundreds of pages here, I must admit I feel like I were born yesterday.

As far as the error, I dunno...make sure your settings are correct if your using a loader. Or it could be your media or many many other things. As far as checking those 2 IOS's for trucha, then yes. Use Signcheck or SanityCheck 0.3 (I still think they are the same). Not sure of the exact name.

If you have the qf-nsmbw release, use the patch below and it should work fine when using COISCORP through the Disk Channel.

well i'm not so sure so I am downloading another one and will see if that works.

I am running on a softmodded 3.2u, recently installed ciosrev14 and that's all i've got so far. everything else I tried on this board didn't work

also I am trying to play a backup disc and I keep being brought to neo gamma r8 which if i'm not mistaken is a usb loader. correct me if i'm wrong that and cioscorp which I wasn't aware you could play backups with

Thank you, my friend, I'll read it over the week-end.
I just read on another site that someonewho who claims to be from the wiikey team or a scene insider is testing the alpha version of the soon to be released firmware update.
Can not guarantee if it is truth or total BS, but i've seen his messages on a couple of sites and he does seem legit.
But again, who am I to judge? But if what he says has any value in it, the update will be available in a week or so.

Please, do not take my words for granted.

the main thing is it is only gonna get worse from here. nintendo tried something this time on a game they knew alot of ppl would want. this caused alot of ppl to buy this game that normally would have just downloaded it. at this point since i'm softmod only it would be a good idea for me to have a modchip to have both and try to be read for anything. i admit i may make it sound easy as i am tech savy and i do alot of other types of hacking but i did this softmod thing in july and didnt understand any of it. it's only from rereading the stuff and seeing the questions and answers in the forums that i know anything at all. so good luck save the link as you may need it someday

Actually, the page was updated today with a fix for softmods/Neogamma. However, the suggested "New Super Mario Bros Wii - PAL - Fixed by Nitro" version isn't available, no wonder they don't want you asking for it. lol

What the first post says about patching the .dol on the iso; which one, the update partition, the game data, or both? Unaltered NTSC iso, btw.

Patching/Fixing the ISO:

1) Download the WiiScrubber 1.40 Package
2) Run the "MakeKeyBin.exe"
3) Open WiiScrubber, and select your ISO
4) Search for the main.dol
-> right click -> Extract
5) Download THIS Package here, and your favourite PPF-Patcher (ex. PPF-O-Matic)
6) Open your PPF-Patcher, choose the main.dol for input and the PPFf-Patch for your region, and klick apply.
This is the patched main.dol that you can use for alt.dol-Loading. If you want to patch the ISO, read further.
7) Back in WiiScrubber, search again for the main.dol, right klick -> Replace and select the patched main.dol
8) Done. Exit WiiScrubber, and enjoy!
As far as I know, there's only one main.dol...and that one is in the game partition

cIOSCORP Users:
-Patched Game with the PPF-Files below works fine with a rev 14 dipped IOS53-v5406 or IOS53-v5149.
-You'll find that one in cIOSCORP 3.5

So I must install cIOSCORP 3.5 for make the game working?
Then is my Wii ready for the fixed NSMBWii?

Uhm, I never said that you need cIOSCORP that this game works...I only recommend this way to people that have already cIOSCORP, or know what it is. If you don't have it/don't know what it is, stick to the USB-Loader/ModChip/Disc-Loader Solutions.

If you already have cIOSCORP 3.5, you can already play the PPF-fixed game. If you have an lower version of cIOSCORP, read the Read Me carefully, and update it to 3.5. If you don't have cIOSCORP, read the Read Me carefully, and decide if you realy want this crap.
