Are you trying to run backups with it?
GeckoOs only launches Original games (unless you have cIOSCORP)

FYI I already download the GC backup launcher but having problems installing it (When i unzipped the file i put the folder directly to the SD root directory but cannot find it when i run my HBC).

Thank you in advance specially if you can direct me to a step by step guide.

For GC backups, do this:
1) Download the pack I linked above
2) Open that GCbackup0.2 folder you extracted. You should see another zip file: gcbackup0.2.tgz, open that file and you'll see another gcbackup0.2 folder.
3) Extract that folder and copy it CONTENTS to the apps folder on the SD card

Get the new file here: http://filetrip.net/file.php?id=9302
1) extract the package to the apps folder on the SD card
4 2) Run the MIOS patcher
5 3) Play your GC backups

I think I'm going to re-upload that GC launcher pack, cause its a bit confusing like this...
Done

HELLO GUYS!

Help please! I am really having problems because I cannot run my Game cube back ups... so please if any one can help me further i will appreciate it (Though TJ is helping very well with this
rolleyes.gif
).

I already have the right files from NUS D (MIOS-64-v4.wad in the root of my SD) & GC backup launcher v0.2 (Miospatcher & Rungcbackup folders) because i am installing it offline (I Tried also online but no luck):

a) First thing i did run the MIOS-64-v4.wad thru wad managerv1.5 then it is ok.
b) Second step i run the Miospatcher, this where my problem starts.
after choosing the right configurations, thi is the message i got:

IOS Version:00f9000e
Downloading IOS257 metadata:.. File fat:/00000001/00000101/v4/tmd.4 not found
From internet: Initializing Network

Then it freeze, only way to exit is pressing Wii power button.

I am really noob sorry for the questions.... please let me know what i did wrong or i need to do for me to play GC back up. My wii is 3.2U-NTSC, i also updated to 4.1 firmware ( On and before i update my firmware i tried the installation but same thing happens in both offline and online installaiton) - cIOS 249rev14

PS: i do not know if it is something to do with the trucha bug ( i never did this), i have no idea how to know if i need this because i can play all Wii backups and other hombrew games...

Thnank you very much in advance!!!

I got the solution for this problem, Many thanks for TJ_Cool for helping me!

Maybe some of you may encounter it, here is the solutiion:

Download MIOSv4 but this time without pack->wad clicked (Using NUS Downloader)

and copy the contents of 0000000100000101v4 to SD:/00000001/00000101/v4/ (you'll have to create those folders on SD yourself).
Then run Mios Patcher again...

Happy gaming to all!!!

Hi,

Just a small question: Since I couldn't get any WBFS Manager to work with WINE, I wonder if there's any way to reformat a drive's partition in WBFS under Ubuntu (version 9 something, Jaunty I guess). Or at least if there's any way to make one of the listed apps work, because as soon as I try to start one of them they happen to close down the second after.

Did any of the WBFS Managers listed solve the issue of "defragmentation" from deleting/adding games?

I remember discussion of this issue back in the day, but have not kept up with the updates on Managers. The issue I am referring to is when you delete a game, and then add new games onto your WBFS partition, some of the other games on there gets ruined (because part of it gets overwritten).

What's the best way to remove old games and add new games?
