I haven't tried the WAD manager and AnyTitle yet, I'm just trying to find out before I do it, that if my save files are going to still be there when this is all over.

I don't want to do it on my own and find out everything's (Save files, VC, Mii's, WiiWare, etc.) been wiped out of my Wii.

Unless you know, it's sinful or something to have hope on keeping all your hard work. :/

why even bother? you have 3 choices.

1. Send your Wii to Nintendo and let them fix it. Savegames might be deleted.

2. Try fixing your Wii yourself with the tools these guys have given you. Savegames might be deleted.

3. Let your Wii alone - never to touch it again. Savegames will be unusable.

So... what'cha gonna loose?

As for #2, my bet is that you won't loose ANY savegames, so you're safe.

Now, go do something!

I have never seen anyone ask a question, get so many good responses/options, and yet be completely unwanting to fix their Wii.

What good are the damn saves, WITHOUT a working Wii ?

"Go do something" is the only advice anyone can give you at this point.

useing anytitle deleter or wad manager will not delete your saves even a new system will be fine, did you lose them when you upgraded your SM, NO! so why would you if you reinstalled it or even downgraded it,

you've even been told what title to delete now with anytitle deleter, like the lads have said, just do something

Sorry sorry.

I was just wondering all this time if the WAD Manager's "Reinstall System Menu" would erase my save files or not.

Seeing how you're all saying it won't, I'll definitely be doing that.

And if even that disc won't boot, I guess I can always just patch all my game ISOs and play them via Auto-booting on the Recovery Screen. XDD

....

WAD Manager won't boot. Tried a regular burn that I was given, and then Auto-Patched it myself for another burn just in case.

Both cause the "An Error has occurred" screen on Health And Safety screens, or do absolutely nothing on the "4.0 (USA)" screen.

Strangely enough, Zelda still works perfectly, and Brawl Dual-Autopatch causes a screen that says "Please Insert Super Smash Bros Brawl Disc" screen. Single Layer Brawl does nothing, and retail Brawl does nothing.

Yes, I burned it on DVD.

I made three copies.

-Copy 1 is just the ISO you gave me going straight to DVD on x4 speed burn.
-Copy 2 is me BootMe Auto-boot patching it myself on x4 speed burn.
-Copy 3 is the Auto-patched ISO on x6 speed burn.

All same results, nothing.

I don't see how a wad manager auto would autoboot on 4.0 because obvisiosly all his ioses don't have trucha bug because he never used homebrew. Twillight would never work because the hack was broken with 4.0. Only option he has is smashstack or ninty which I told him like 4ever ago. If smashbros won't autoboot then he has no option right now. I agree how does he have a banner bricked if he never used homebrew. It's impossible

I have no idea. I just have the "System files are corrupt" screen, which looks like how a Banner Brick is.

I never installed Homebrew Channel, the only thing I ever did put on this Wii is WiiKey ver 1.9s.

Is there absolutely no other way to make Brawl autoboot? Cause the fact that it gets to the "Please Insert Super Smash Bros Brawl Game Disc" screen means it did "boot" but just doesn't go into the game itself.

when you install a wad (normally homemade) with a incorrect or corrupt icon/banner then when the system menu loads it locks up sometimes on a black screen. Making the Wii unusable, if you have Preloader you can load the HBC and bypass the SM. This is why preloader is suggested at the very least.

yes you´re right ! perhaps use a different patcher for the iso , you should now search in that direction ! it boots so thats good , no need for nintendo yet..

Thanks!
I was thinking people were using "Banner Bomb" and bricking there Wii, before they could install BootMii or Pre-Loader.
Now I don't need to fear Banner Bomb so much anymore.

THANKS!

Isn't there only one Auto-boot patcher out there? :/

Correct, Actually bannerbomb works in a similar way, the banner/icon in the channel is programmed/corrupted to not behave normally but instead to prompt the running of boot.dol/elf.

So, I have to Auto-boot Wii Sports Resort and it should work on the "4.0 (USA)" screen?

Great.... another week of waiting because ISO downloads take so long, and I don't even know if this method even works.
