Nope I don't feel guilty, most games are to expensive, say x360 and ps2. 70-80 candian for a 50 cent piece of plastic is to much, maybe if they were like 40 or so i'd buy insted of pirate. My ps2 and 360 ain't chipped and as such I only buy rpgs (only games worth buying are rpgs most other genres are to short). on the nds? I don't even own a legit cart for nds, first thing I did after I got my NDS was order a Acekard, been using it since.

Heh heh...not really. The only thing that I wouldn't pirate are N64 roms since that's my favorite Nintendo console of all time, and I'd prefer using a real controller. Hell, other than that, I'll pirate anything.

I don't really feel any guilt... Sort of but not much... If it's a game I really like I'd go out and buy it after pirating it for awhile. But yea, I tend to follow the "Should I buy this?" trend myself.

Never.

I only care about my wallet, to be honest. And I only buy the games that I really love, or else it's a free play for me. Nintendo is already rich enough anyway.

Honestly, there's tons of great games out there that either aren't sold in many places/often, are too old to buy in stores, or aren't avaliable in the US (yet). Not to mention the numerous hacks of games (like Enhanced Edition for Platinum). And there's plenty of companies that make so much money anyway (*cough* Nintendo *cough*) that having a couple thousand pirated copies of a game won't even leave a dent in them.

so why would i feel guilt in downloading a game that wont have good sales to begin with??

i only feel bad if im downloading a good game made by a new or small time company... so mario games (made by the already rich nintendo) are absolutely fine, same with final fantasy etc.
but games like N+ are off limits unless i buy it too.

Kids these days (no offense)

I feel bad... especially if its one of those games were the people put in hundreds of hours into making it.

I'm a bit saddened by many of the responses.

Do you enjoy playing the games?
Do you realise the amount of time and work that large teams of really clever people put into making them?

If you answered 'yes' to both of those questions then you should feel bad that they spend their days working to make games you enjoy and you don't pay them a penny for that hard work.

Imagine the amount of adverts and product placements that would be in your DS games if the majority pirated.

Hell no. Nintendo screwed us over after making the sleek, portable, godsend that was the Advance SP, followed by the even more beautiful GameBoy Micro, and then ditched the gameboy altogether for a big, clunky device, 4x the size that still just plays mediocre 2D games (aside from a few gems, which of course, are 1st party). If it hadn't been for the free games, I wouldn't have one of these, when I could keep playing my tiny, barely noticeable Gameboy Micro, and its library of hundreds of fantastic games, on my EFA Linke. And coincidentally, I DO play my GBA more than my DS anyways. They're lucky that I've at least bought a DS in the first place.

ALSO: I had bought a DS phat and lite before my Crimson/Black lite, making this my 3rd DS, and before I bought this one, I purchased all of my games.

ALSO 2: I did the same things with my Wii and GBA, sold them and my games eventually, and re-bought them when I found I could get free games.
