i know a few things about controls:

no touch screen needed
''x'' = scroll trough actions
''a'' = action
''b'' = jump
''y'' = ???

as far as i know the controls are
D-Pad - Move
A- Attack
X- Command change
B- Jump
Y- Gilde,roll, combo
L and R - ????
start - pause

on the field out of battle, start - menu i think

no touchscreen needed, it is a bonus in multi
and the touchscreen is used in the menu for sorting your inventory, like panels

in multiplayer it is confirmed you can play alone and with friends thought nomura tetsoya doesnt recommend doing multi alone til you've played story mode a bit as some enemies can own you in minutes
