They're actually checking each individual Wii?
Now, I certainly think they have the right do to this; send them a Wii you did things to they expressively forbid in terms you agreed to? They don't even need to fix these at all, but they do, even if they charge almost as much for it as it would cost you to buy a new console.
But I am surprised that they plan to check each individual console for traces of homebrew. Surely that must cost them?
