Utorrent is the best in my opinion, fast, simple, light, to the point, you couldn't ask for more. Im not saying that other bittorent apps such as bitcomet, Vuze, ABC, are crap, but i guess im just used to utorrent so much.

utorrent

used to use bitcomet way back in the day, but made the switch and haven't looked back. i never liked azureus. don't really care about cross-platform usability, since i only run windows at the moment.

programs like shareaza that access oldschool p2p and use torrents tend to suck really hard at torrenting.

does opera still have built-in torrent support? does anyone here use that?

I use Azerus with the classic view so it's nothing like that Vuze shit, I used to use uTorrent but I had a problem with it not downloading torrents anymore so I found Azerus and started using it instead, and kept using it since, nothing wrong with uTorrent though, pretty sure it would work with my new computer and do the job just fine.

µtorrent because its light, fast, and very simple. It didnt eats up resources a lots like Azerus does. Azerus is not good because it eats up resources a lot.

I use Vuze and I'm on a linux machine. I preferred when it was Azureus, now it's way too heavy and I don't like it that much.. However, it still works fine and I don't usually download much stuff... :\

uTorrent has always had the best luck for me. Especially since I tend to a lot of heavy seeding. it doesn't eat into too much system resources. I had always liked Azureus before though. It got a bit too greedy on resources for my taste though. I primarily stick to my newsgroups for the larger things: DVD ISOs/things larger than 1gb, but for small things like tv shows and the like I'll always use a good torrent.

I still run Azureus. Haven't updated to Vuse yet

Don't like Vuse... so if i get forced into it (or hit "update" in a non-sober moment... which is bound to happen >_>) i'll run with Classic, unless i change back to utorrent. I used utorrent in the past, but liked azureus so much more.

I used Azureus back before uTorrent, and it -murdered- my disk drives and ate system resources like crazy. Then again, it was built using Java, so, yeah.

Ever since uTorrent came about I've been using it. Nothing else compares.

I run rtorrent on my server, and have configured it to automatically start downloading torrents I put in a specified folder. And I run it in a screen so I can easily check in and see how my downloads are doing, even from work. I like this solution a lot!

Back in the olden days when I still used Windows, I always used uTorrent, I really love it when developers try and make programs which are light to the system!
