I am currently installing YSMenu0810211800 on my R4, but was wondering which cheats to download from http://cheats.gbatemp.net/ and if I need to rename the file?
I was thinking I should go for USRCHEAT.DAT and replace the one in the TTMenu? Is this right?

I am just editing the one included at the moment, so I can play Chrono Trigger

Also, if I DLDI patch something (I prefer to do that instead of auto-patching) with YSMenu installed, do I need to patch with R4 DLDI still? Or do I use a different one, like the TT or a special YSMenu version maybe??!?!

Edit: Should the DMA option be on as default and is it possible to change brightness in YSMenu?

I believe so. You would keep the filename and replace the one that's there.

I believe you would use the R4 patch, because I'm fairly sure YSMenu uses the R4 loader. If it doesn't work, try it with the DSTT patch and see if that works.

DMA should be on by default, but turned off if you have problems with a particular game. You can change the brightness setting in the YSMenu.ini file:

CODE
; Brightness (0-3 or -1=Default)
BRIGHT=-1

I'm not sure if you can change the brightness from within the menu. Try the shoulder buttons and see if that works.

Thanks! The shoulder buttons don't work but I just figured out that if you goto DS menu and change it, it stays at that brightness, so thats ok!

I used r4ysauto before, but it adds r4ysauto 0.2 to the bottom and some people have said it causes problems, so I am gonna do it myself now!
