Well I just bought mine tonight (the WiiKey and WiiClip) and I have a couple questions.

1.) Will the WiiClip (with WiiKey attached) play all my original games?

2.) Should I just download the WiiKey software and put on a disk right now?

3.) How do I burn Wii games? Just download a game unpack the rar and than burn the iso (or whatever file) onto a data DVD? And also what its the program that you guys use to check it the game has a bricker?

4.) Do I have to put the "Protect Label" under the WiiKey on the WiiClip? It has it on other cards but in the instructions of the WiiClip V3 it doesnt say to put it on?

Thanks to everyone who answers my questions!

Peace!

If your Wii is updated to the latest firmware, you're going to run into some trouble getting Wiikey set up at first. Be sure to update Wiikey to version 1.9, or else newer games like Mario Kart won't play.

Q. Which discs do I need? There's so many.
A. This all depends on 2 main factors - whether you have a GameCube controller - and whether your Wii's firmware is 3.0 or greater.

Q. I have a GameCube controller and my Wii is less than v3.0. What do I need?
A. This is the easiest one to do. Simply download and burn the v1.9s firmware disc for your region (padded preferred) and pop it in your Wii. You can download and burn the v1.4 config disc - but most people don't actually need this - unless you want to change some WiiKey settings.

Q. I have a GameCube controller and my Wii is v3.0 (or greater). What do I need?
A. You need to download and burn the GCOS version of the config disc (v1.3). Run this - and set 'region override' to 'on'. Save the settings back and restart your Wii. Now download and burn the v1.9s firmware disc. Pop this one in - and run it through. You can also download and burn the v1.4 config disc - but most people don't actually need this - unless you want to change some WiiKey settings.

Q. I don't have a GameCube controller and my Wii is less than v3.0. What do I need?
A. Download and burn the v1.9s firmware disc and pop it in. As you don't have a GameCube controller - you need to use the 'reset' button on the front of your Wii. It's a quick tap to move the menu selection - and a longer press to select it. You can also download and burn the v1.4 config disc- but most people don't actually need this - unless you want to change some WiiKey settings.

Q. I don't have a GameCube controller and my Wii is v3.0 (or greater). What do I need?
A. This is where it's gets tricky. You will need to download and burn both the Hex'd and original v1.2 config discs (padded preferred). Firstly, insert the Hex'd disc and wait for it to prompt you to insert the original WiiKey base disc. Remove the Hex'd disc - and insert your other v1.2 disc. Now as you don't have a GameCube controller - you need to use the 'reset' button on the front of your Wii. It's a quick tap to move the menu selection - and a longer press to select it. Use this method to set 'region override' to 'on'. Save the settings and reset your Wii. Now download and burn the v1.9s firmware disc (for your region) and pop it in your Wii. Use the 'reset button' method to update the WiiKey's firmware. You can also download and burn the v1.4 config disc - but most people don't actually need this - unless you want to change some WiiKey settings.

Congratulations - you *should* now have a WiiKey at v1.9s (the latest stable version).

Remember - always use the config/firmware disc for your Wii's region. I take no responsibility for you breaking/bricking your Wii/WiiKey. If you break it - you fix it

You can get the discs here. Username and password are bugmelot.

Edit:
Nevermind I found them. That forums is set up weird. So all I do is I burn the Config 1.3 to a DVD set it to region overdrive than burn WiiKey 1.9 to a disc and update it? Seems easy, thanks for the help.

For anyone who can answer my other questions please do so if you would like.

Yeah, that's right. Sorry, forgot about the rest of the questions

1.) Will the WiiClip (with WiiKey attached) play all my original games?
Yeah

3.) How do I burn Wii games? Just download a game unpack the rar and than burn the iso (or whatever file) onto a data DVD? And also what its the program that you guys use to check it the game has a bricker?
That's right. Games from a different region that contain updates are the only ones that brick. The program is called Wii brick blocker. You shouldn't have to worry about it if you keep your Wii up to date.

4.) Do I have to put the "Protect Label" under the WiiKey on the WiiClip? It has it on other cards but in the instructions of the WiiClip V3 it doesnt say to put it on?
I didn't put it on. A few forums I read said the protect paper blocks airflow and doesn't really protect against anything.
