Thought it was II when I saw it pre. Great game, will school you in class/stats so be careful how you play as it gets so tough that I didn't see it through... my team made it unfinishable unless I ground for like 20 levels which I had no intention of doing :/
I believe it's been balanced better in EOII.
Interesting the extra languages have doubled the ROM size, I bet it trims well.

It's a good game, but pretty unbalanced. After some you descend levels, unless you've leveled up like a madman, you're not going anywhere as the monsters will crush you. And leveling up is UBER-SLOW. What a pity.

MAN! I thought it was EO2 at first. I LOVED this game. Finished it too (at least the main story, no way in hell I could do the 6th stratum).

I'll think I'll wait for the second one. I hope the grinding has been softened a bit. It was a great old-school game, but being an old-school game it involved too much mindless training.

It's cool, but very hard and in my oppinion VERY repetive... you can only save in the city (yes, singular) and you dig deeper and deeper into the ground in mazes, and have to go back up to save and buy new shit...
