Gaming Saving in Bleach 2nd?

So basically the problem is.......
The progress i make in the game does not get saved. I get far in story mode then once I switch off my DS, then switch it on again all my progress is gone.???Just today I almost got all the characters then i switch off then BOOM! no more....
Does anybody know wats wrong? Is it the ROM, the flash cart (I use a AceKard 2), or my memory card(Kingston 2GB JPN)? Is there an autosave feature or do i have to go to option and save there? Help would be greatly appreciated!

Thats really weird...I'd try a different ROM or something. The game autosaves normally...
