yea but its just a free hobby project im doing for fun and to learn so im not too worried about it some people are gonna be against ai no matter what and thats fair ill just keep working on it and getting better at the actual coding side as i go

people are gonna be pissed if they find out you use ai tldr

personally i'd say take a few months learning C then come back to this concept, ai can and will make your code very messy and it is NOT good to depend on

AFAIK there is a Lua runner for 3DS too and Lua is very easy to learn, could do that too
eh i dont really agree with the stop for a few months thing i feel like i learn more actually making something i care about than i would just studying C on its own the messy code thing is fair but thats stuff i can go back and clean up as i get better. its just a hobby project, not like im selling it so it doesnt really need to be perfect rn. ill get better at the actual code side over time im just not good at coding rn but learning so

I mean alright, but rlly, even if its a hobby project you WILL get loads of hate for it.

As the guy behind Project Sunshine i've seen a LOT of hate towards "Butterscotch 3DS", and I genuinely mean a LOT. As far as I know that guy stopped contributing to it because he got "lolcowed" so much.

This isn't because like I ONLY want project sunshine to suceed because projects like these are VERY cool, but what i'm trying to say here as well is you cant just tell AI to clean up your codebase and expect it to do everything.

Vibecoding is a skill that will fade away eventually (not to mention running it on a server imposes enviormental risks but it also brings sloppy code and innaccuracies) but genuine programming is a skill. Sure, this is just a hobby project but results will end up much better with you doing it instead of an AI. Trust me, i've experimented.

I cant tell you what to do, but please suggest taking this into account, I promise your results will be 100x better!

yeah your right it would turn out better if it was made by hand and i am trying to learn to code better so i dont have to lean on ai as much in the future ill probably practice it more just been busy so havent been learning it recently but im trying :D thank you for your feedback i really do appriciate it ty homie
