A friend and I got Sonic R working on the psp, so we decided to release it!

Game works decently on 2000 and 3000 models (we didn't test 1000 models so give us feedback!) and overall is playable to the end, no multiplayer and no network, and we recommend going into the options, then graphic settings and changing the drawing distance to near for now, the MUSIC files should be ".son", and that's all I had to say!
Enjoy it!

I've gotta try this out! What on Earth made you try this? Why Sonic R? Just the other day I was daydreaming of playing Dragon Force on a PSP and other Saturn games...

PSP Street should work fine, for audio files they should be .son, you need the 1998 files of the pc port, send a screenshot of how you have all

My music is in .son format and the files are directly from my old 1998 Sonic R PC release but it wont boot on Adrenaline (PS Vita). Is it supposed to NOT work there? I like to have some Vita ports also in Adrenaline because Adrenaline takes less battery and looks very very cool. That's why I'm interested on having the PSP port to work on Adrenaline.

Hey guys! I hope this reaches the devs. I tested on a hardware PSP-1000 and found some bugs you might wanna take a look at. This is an awesome project!!

[Sonic R PSP Port PSP-1000 Glitches, Bugs and Crashes]:

Sound:
- No "Seegaaa" at startup

- Menu problem: Music totally cuts off when going into "Options"

- SFX problem 1: No ring sound or other sfx whatsoever during gameplay, only music works
- SFX problem 2: Announcer voice cuts off too soon after "Ready" (could be the fact that I had to rip the sound from a CD and each track has around 2 seconds of silence at the start, so the starting fanfare starts too late as well as the "Ready Set Go" announcement)

Glitches/Bugs:
- Options Menu - Graphics: Only draw distance is visible but you can scroll through other options that are invisible... Are there other options? I don't know if this bug was originally there or was introduced with the port.

Crashes:

A.) When choosing Regal Ruins and Miles, the game hard crashed (console powered off). My draw distance was set to "Near" like recommended.

Here's what I did before the crash:
1. I played Resort Island with Sonic
2. I played Radical City with Knuckles
3. I watched a full replay of my Radical City race
4. Then I chose Miles and Regal Ruins for my next race, but the crash happened.

B.) Another hard crash (shut down) occured when I left the game on. After some idling, the game went to the starting screen with the short intro theme (still normal I assume). But after 2 or 3 loops of the intro version of "Super Sonic Racing", the crash occured out of nowhere. Console powered off.

Comments:

Guys, let me just say that what you have done here is AWESOME! Other than these, the game works! I kid you not, I scoured the internet NOT 2 WEEKS AGO for a Sonic R PSP port, and 2 weeks later, this was published... WOW.

Keep working on it, this is so great. Cheers!
