I use an original Wiimote and Nunchuk along with a Wii console model that has GameCube ports, and I found it very strange that this emulator is the only one where the C and Z buttons don't work, even though they appear to be mapped correctly in the emulator's default settings.
After testing older versions, I noticed that the same thing happens in all of them: the L and R buttons, which should be mapped to C and Z, respectively, are actually mapped by default to the left and right buttons on the Wiimote’s directional pad (which already have their respective directional functions assigned to them), and the C and Z buttons are not recognized at all.
You can easily see this in games like *Metroid Zero Mission*: if you press those buttons, the character moves left and right, and at the same time, you’re also pressing what would be the L and R buttons on the GBA. It’s even more obvious when you access the pause menu in *Metroid Zero Mission* and navigate through the options screens.
To use L and R in a game, you have to assign them to buttons other than the C and Z buttons on the nunchuk. What I do is leave the Wiimote's directional pad unassigned and assign L and R to those buttons.
I’ve tested this with clean installs. This is an issue that has persisted in the emulator since the beginning and has not been fixed.
Does anyone else find that the C and Z buttons on the Nunchuck don’t work in eMGBA?
@Extrems, thanks for your time and patience.
