Hi yall. im doing this post to help out my fellow WIIU bro's and sisters

ive eg. used gecko codes to get Doubledash running in 16:9 widescrren without streching etc) [

My setup: Homebrewed WIIU aroma. using nintendont to launch GC games. ive injected all my GC games using UWUVCI (spelled?) and launch all my games directly from the WIIU homescreen i find it cleaner that way.

There is a million diffent guides and whatnot mixed to together. here is what worked for me:

1. Get the codes and compile a GCT file (You can find guides on this)
2. Go to nintendont launcher environment menu in your WiiU vWii and set:

* Cheats=on
* ForceWidescreen=off
* `WiiUWidescreen=on

3. Get nintendont to save settings!
There is an error where nintendont dosen't save settings upon exiting the nintendont launcher environment. Thus you have to run a game. Ive had issues with this since nintendont cannot read my usb directory and cannot see any games! if you have the same issue do the following:

* Put an ISO GC game on your SD card in i "games" folder in root:

eg. SD /F:/games/Warioworld.iso

*in nintendont launcher environment: Choose SD -> make your settings -> return to previous screen -> run the game that should now be visible. -> inside the game press the nintendont shortcut to Exit the game:

GC controller with adaptor: L + R + Z + Start

WIIU gamepad: L + R + ZL + ZR + minus(Select)

NOW Your nintendont settings are saved!!

4. on the root of your SD card make a "codes" folder and put your .gct gecko code in it.

note. some older documentation and versions says the folder is called "cheats", odds are that you are on the newer vesion of nintendont and therefore uses "codes"

eg. SD /F:/codes/GM4E01.gct

5. Run your GC game through the WIIU Homescreen uwuvci forwarder (if you have the same setup as me) and it should FACKIN WORK!

hope it helps someone out there

Tips: if the whole directory-thing gives you trouble: Brute force it! make folders named both "cheats" and "codes" containing the .gct file and place those suckers all over the places you suspect might work for you.

Ah, thank you. fixed the typo😊👍
Ive only had luck changing nintendont settings inside its homebrewlauncher environment on the WiiU, vWii

Some might have a "nincfg.bin"
file on their SD root (unfortunately i dont for some reason, it would have been alot simpler)

if you have the config file then set your settings using 0 for off and 1 for on
