Shit like this is why people should have started caring years ago about ads on their OS, constant online connections, and other privacy concerns. These were always leading to pushing the limits how far governments and corporations could go in stealing your information

All this ID verification will just end up killing the internet and be used simply for the most essential stuff.

If Discord asks me for my ID... I'll just delete my account. I'm waiting for it at this point. 🤣

…”b-b-but it’s free!!”

How else are these poor, small businesses like Google suppose to make a living?

Facial verifcation is easy to bypass, You can do it with Death Stranding, or with two mobile phones (using a filter). Or you can just use a VPN and log in from that.

Next thing you know it will be like the Military, needing a CAC Card to Access a Computer, in order to determine what Information you will be allowed to Access

Yet another blow to online privacy, but we must save the children!!!!!1! Anyone can see that this will soon require actual ID checks, so say bye bye to anonymity online.

Well, the only people who need privacy are criminals so you should be fine as long as you have nothing to hide, right? Yes, that was sarcasm.
not to worry, I have nothing to hide; I am a Jew, so as long as some Nazi regime does not gain control, there is no reason to suspect I would be hunted and hated.

Same as Christianity.

There has never been any Anti-Jewish behavior ever from people running governments in history that would make me suspect this is a bad idea, right?

Quite the contrary, this is probably a good thing for anonymity. Because instead of sending your ID to every app developer all they need to know is your age group.
Having to send your ID to a central authority is not something any of us are happy about but I think we can all agree that it's better than the alternative, which we have been seeing so far in places like UK, which is the governments asking each app developer to collect ID themselves and hoping that none of them suffer a data breach.
