The sigpatches is OK, but every time I try to start the MK8D using emuMMC and it gives me this error that takes me to the HOME menu of the console. Formatted the SD card, deleted the game save data, created a new emuNMMMC, and that THERE IS NO WAY TO PLAY. I reinserted the game card and it's still not working. I have the latest version of MK8D (3.0.5). I don't know what I'm going to do anymore...

Hi, i wanted to open a new thread but since we have the same problem I'll join yours. :D does it only happen with Mario Kart? I have the same problem, but with all the games it closes after a few minutes and gives me the error "The software has closed due to an error." I installed the Hats pack and the Sigpatches, but I still have the same problem. I don't know what else to do.
I have the latest software version. HELP! :cry::cry:

Classic "signature patch" issue. But as Jayinem mentioned, the best way is, use sys-patch. this should solve it.

I copied the files to the SD card and injected the payload again. When I try the games, some immediately, some after a few minutes of playing, they still give me the error. What seems strange to me, however, is that it also happens with the games I bought and downloaded from the official store. :cry:

I'm not sure I had this issue after updating just less than a month ago and I just deleted those games and re-installed. There may be another fix but I'm not sure what that fix is. :\

Some of them were pretty old games too so I have no idea what the pattern is.

The only test I haven't done is using a new SD card. Which ones are recommended?

Sandisk is good but I don't think that's it, otherwise all of your games wouldn't work.

Now if you formatted your sd card to exfat you can get corruption, but not on FAT32. If you did use exfat and got corruption it doesn't mean your sd card is going bad though exfat is just prone to corruption. You would need to copy all of your files to a computer format sd card to FAT32 then copy everything back. You then wouldn't be able to directly put files that are larger than 4gb on the sd card to install them you would need to use another method like usb install from computer, which is what I do.

The card is formatted as FAT32. I use DBI to load games. What other method do you recommend? (I've never had any errors loading games with DBI.)

I was using DBI for 3 or 4 years until just this month when Metroid Prime 4 came out I couldn't install it after updating to 20.5 kept getting stuck at 100% and not showing the game icon so I used AwooInstaller on PC and Nx-USBLoader on the Switch and it worked fine.

I tried with Awoo and Nx-USBloader, I installed Mario Kart and a game called Endless Ocean, both crashed after a few minutes and the game closed :sad::cry:

What firmware are you on? Did you just recently update and the games dont work or they were working and you're on the same firmware and they stopped working?

I guess it could be your sd card do you have another one you could try?

But i need to know if they ever worked or not.

FW:21.1.0
The games have never worked, even those downloaded from the Nintendo store and installed in the internal memory give me an error. I don't know if they worked before because I bought the Switch used a week ago XD

But you can run the exploit through TegraRCM? Since you're new to this I don't know what you know or don't know so I have to make sure 1. you actually have a softmoddedable switch 2. you've done everything right like added atmosphere folder etc....

You didn't say any of this before and I know you're new at this it's not really you're fault but when someone needs help we assume they're not totally new and have a basic understanding of what they're doing. Right now you probably have none. Your situation is probably different than the ops most of us that post here have had hackable switchs for a long time. You should have at least said you just got the Switch but that's alright.

Did the seller tell you your switch was moddable and did your seller tell you there were pirated games on there? You do know if you have a modded switch you cant just add legit games there is a way to have a dual system one side for legit games to go online on the store the other side for pirated games, but they can't be launched at the same time.

This is more complicated now than it was before because you may not even know what you're doing and again it's not your fault but you have to do everything correctly for it to work and you have to have a moddeable switch in the first place which you may not.

You may even be assuming all switchs can be easily hacked, that is not the case at all. What were you told or did you just buy a switch and trying to play pirated games? It simply doesn't work that way.

Just from reading what you've posted you have to have a softmoddable switch or modchipped one. I would recommend following this guide https://switch.hacks.guide/

But if you want any more help on gbatemp you have to tell us exactly what you have done yourself with the switch since you've gotten it. Have you setup TegraRCM and ran the exploit or did you just turn it on? Unless you have a modchip it won't just boot and be able to play pirated games you have to softmod it every time you boot it. There's so much info that we need from you that we don't have right now.

This is not a simple situation it's more complicated when a seller sells someone a hackable switch that doesn't know what they're doing. I don't know how much the seller tried to explain to you, if anything at all but there's a lot that goes into this that you're going to have to learn it's far from impossible but there's a learning process to hack your switch (unless it came with a modchip? See I have no idea what hack you have) and be able to add games is not straight forward and if you want legit games you have to have an emunand and a sysnand dual boot switch but your Switch is probably banned already I'm guessing and then you won't be able to buy games or play online you can only play pirated games.

Just reply with as much information as you can. You said you've applied the patches but have you booted into atmosphere at all? You have to use atmosphere to play pirated games period. But if you have an actual modchip installed into it then you don't have to run any exploit it's just able to be hacked from the moment you boot it, no modchip then it requires exploit every time you boot.

You're right, I'll list all the steps I took:
  1. I formatted the SD card in FAT32 using Rufus;
  2. I copied the files from a package containing the necessary files, atmosphere, hekate, etc., to the SD card (they are updated to the latest version);
  3. I put the SD card in the switch and injected the hekate payload (6.4.2) into the switch via TegraRcmGUI and RCM JIG using aluminum foil;
  4. Once hekate was loaded, I set the date and created the 29GB emuMMC partition, then went to emuMMC and created it;
  5. After creating the emuMMC, I went to Launch and started CFW (EMUMMC), thus starting atmosphere. From there, I loaded the games via DBI (not in applet mode).
Update:
I changed the SD card, I'm using a 256GB, I followed the procedure following the guide on switch.hacks.guide and when I launch it, emummc gives me the error "unknown pkg1 version hos version not supported or emummc corrupt" :cry:

I changed the SD card because the one I had was fake, I redid the procedure but most of the games give me an error, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, Super Smash Bros close and give an error, Mario Kart doesn't, I can't understand why :-(
