So I've been having a problem for the last few weeks where whenever I try to download software or a game from either the Universal Updater or the Hshop, the second I close the downloading app, I get the "SD Card was removed (ErrDisp)" message, and all of my downloaded software (legitimate or not) is removed from the home menu vice TWM++ and any nds ROMs. I've looked around for a fix to stop this from happening, but to no avail.

Steps I have taken in an attempt to fix this

Reloading a backup temporarily fixes the issue (games are visible and playable).

If no recent backup is available, I have found that replacing the 00040000 file under the title and extdata files will load the old backup with the current save data.

Reformatted and tested the SD card (MicroSD 128GB Lexar) using h2test, came back fine, but still didn't work.

Updated/Reinstalled Luma and GM9

I purchased and formatted a new 128GB MicroSD Kingston card and copied the files over, and I'm still getting the same results.

I've scoured the wikis and common problems, but I haven't come across anything to fix this permanently, so if anyone has any input on this, it would be greatly appreciated, as I'd like to be able to download new software and updates again lol.
For context, I’m on an Old 3DS XL using the microSD Cards with an adapter

I have used the exact same model Micro SD to hack my Girlfriend's 3DS, and it runs and downloads no problem.

Has it occurred to you that the adapter might be faulty..? When you purchased a new SD card, were you still using the same old adapter? The best way to be sure would be to try using a full-size SD card without an adapter.

If the adapter's not the problem, then it's entirely possible the slot is faulty, considering you seem to have ruled out everything else. People have replaced the slot in the past. (Some people have also reported finding bent pins in the slot and being able to straighten them out.)

Between the two cards I’ve used 3 different adapters, but I haven’t tried a full size SD because apparently nowhere around me sells them anymore.

I doubt that would make a difference though, since I’ve used different adapters. I’ve suspected it could be a problem with the slot. When I shine a flashlight in there, nothing seems out of the ordinary, so I’m not sure what specifically is wrong.
