A new contender hits the arcade emulation scene, this time targeting Namco's System 246/256 arcade platforms, which are modified PlayStation 2 consoles at their heart.
The emulator itself is a fork of the ever-popular PCSX2, and carries over many of its features and capabilities as a result.

You can download the emulator now on Github or check out the official documentation for the emulator here.

There is still some work to be done to make the setup of the emulator and individual games more accessible, but it's a promising start.
Check out the impressive launch compatibility list.

its always good to have more options but is there anything wrong with the current PCSX2? Are the HD textures going to function or everything done in the PCSX2 community as far as HD textures not going to crossover? I think that is a big determining factor to if this emulator even has a chance of ever getting touched by me and alot of people.

I dont think the community is going to want to do alot of work just to remake HD textures for a new emulator when we already have a emulator that does a great job and has such a vast set of improvements behind it already.

Welcooome to videogame Esoooooooooooooooooooooooteerica. :P .

I like his content but he tends to repeat himself a lot. And i do mean a lot.

But i admire his dedication to retro gaming.
I used to like his content but he pumps out so much junk now then uses deceiving titles and thumbnails that oversells stuff way too much. On top of that, it feels like he posts these videos without comment all over the place on reddit. All the power to people who like his stuff but it turned me off real quick.

This is an arcade emulator, not a PS2 (retail) emulator. Please read, I did explain this.
PCSX2 devs don't bother supporting Namco 2x6 systems, so someone took it upon themselves.

That's why I bothered to explain what this is pretty succinctly myself, while the video I liked is more-or-less supplemental. Some people will like it, some won't, and that's cool!

I think you're fully misunderstanding what this emulator is.

I watched the video and understand now what the emulator is. Pretty cool but the name kinda confusing for someone who is just a passer by not looking into all the details. I should ahve looked at the details better.
