N3DS XL wont turn on ( corrupted

Okay so im trying to mod a new 3DS xl for my friend but i have encoutered some problems, i wasnt done modding but i had a few things to show my friend so i gave it to them for like 10min, and they gave it back saying it wouldnt turn on again ( red notif light and mauve light when the sd card is off ) : i tried putting my own modded new2DS sd card in to see and it worked fine so i thought the 3DS boot.firm on both the SD card and on internal memory were corrupted, I tried so many ways to fix it and I even reformated the sd card and everything but it still wouldnt work. Ultimately I ran a 3ds_hw_test to find out if they were any issues with the hardware ( as other older threads suggered ) and as a result i got 8389604 total errors detected.. help what do i do im so confused

Well, it would be a bit of a waste of time to start suggesting things you've already tried, wouldn't it?

Should I ask if you've already seen the similar thread that someone else was just posting in?

I tried turning it on this morning and got this message : « An error has occurred:
Unable to mount CTRNAND or load the CTRNAND FIRM Please use an external one. »
Also I tried putting the working sd card from my 2DS again and it won’t work now ( still red light which is weird because my sd card is not corrupted since it works fine on my own 2DS ).
And about the other thread, it seems likely that we have the same issue,
does that mean I have to take appart the 3ds to look for broken components or do I have to completely change the motherboard?

dude, we can't help you unless you tell us everything you've done. Also post a photo of the 3ds_hw_test results.

okay so i wasnt home for a week sry, but i litterally tried to turn it on yesterday and it worked ? I am very confused but in every other thread i've seen a similar thing happens at some point. Howhever when I gave it back to my friend after some time it returned to the red light state but they just manipulated the top screen and it came back to normal wich is even more confusing tbh

If 3ds_hw_test returned so many errors the hardware is toast. The best you can do is go to some repair shop and ask them if they can reflow the RAM chip. And no, it suddenly working doesn't mean anything. It just proves there is a hardware fault.
