Hi all,

Please help a little girl, Here is the problem I have:
I did a 2DS hacked for my little girl and she played Zelda on it, she had a save, the thing is, it suddenly didn't work anymore. The games weren't loading anything since last update; I didn't know why.
So I took the SD card and discovered it was a bit "corrupted", so I did a "CHKDSK /F" on the drive of the sd card and it was back to normal after, the os of the 2DS would load and the majority of games on it too, but not Zelda, it wouldn't load anymore. How can I repair without loosing the save? Where are saved of games located on a 2DS? Can I remove zelda then recover the save that was in memory for my daughter? Please recommend me something, I'm very good on hacked wiiU but on 3DS/2DS I don't know very much.

Try backing up the save using Checkpoint, and then reinstall the game, and then restore the save using Checkpoint.

You only checked it using Chkdsk. Chkdsk is not very thorough.

The only way to make sure the card does not fail again is to use h2testw, but that requires you to empty the card first. Specifically: connect the SD card to your PC, copy everything off the SD card with Roadkil's Unstoppable Copier, format the card according to https://3ds.hacks.guide/formatting-sd-(windows) , test the empty card with https://3ds.hacks.guide/h2testw-(windows).html, and copy everything back if the test is okay. If the test fails, you can still copy the files to a new card.

If you don't do this, you're just taking a risk that your card is going to fail again.

ok just to know, Checkpoint is an App?
If you followed https://3ds.guide when you hacked your 2DS, you should already have Checkpoint.

Where does it save the save once saved?
It saves it wherever you tell it to save it.

Ok I have done a checkpoint of the Zelda game...But then, It's gotten worse, I made a mistake....I've put my "save" from my PC I had of the "7351dfae1396620252f91e03265d679e" and "private" directory, I rebooted then....All links a lost:
I have only of the desk of the menu console:
- paramater icon, Place mii Streetpass, Twilightmenu, Mii Editor, nintendo eshop, Nintendo studio sound
There is no more CIA installer, how can I reinstall it with missing others?

Ok I manage to do this, go in godmode* then launch a script to launch an installer then reinstalled the exploit then in it, I was able to reinstall CIA installer, so now I can install Cia files again! I also manage to update my luna to latest version "manually".
The initial pb I had was that the 2DS was asking an update, didn't want to do it then the console couldn't boot anymore....

Also, I reinstalled luma udpater but it seems to be broken and I don't know why.
Here is the image I get with the error when I try to update with it, can someone tell me what's wrong or what I did wrong PLEASE?

Luma updater stopped working years ago and you should not be using it.

Why would you want to run Luma updater if you already manually updated Luma!?

I did not see this post before. It's really not clear exactly what you did. In my last post I said "copy everything off the SD card", not copy two random folders.

Ok, i'll remove Luma updater.....Thanks for info, by the way, why is it still up??
At the moment,I still have a problem....Managed to reinstall the 2 games there was but cannot reinstall Zelda....
CIA installer works but doesn't propose to "install" when I select the file.
Might be because the presence of old file or a ticket or something, a leftover or I don't know, could someone have a clue?
Is there a tool to clean the DS of old tickets? Because i'm not very fond on this
Also; made a save with checkpoint, had to reinstall it and now the save of Zelda I did seems gone........A hand please!
(couldn't select a particular place where to save when I used it, it was by default)

You're going to have to be a lot more clear with your questions. What do you mean by "still up"? Technically everything that was ever posted to the Internet is "still up".

CIA installer works but doesn't propose to "install" when I select the file.
I don't know what you're doing or what file you're looking at.

Also; made a save with checkpoint, had to reinstall it and now the save of Zelda I did seems gone
If you're trying to restore the save file for a game that you haven't installed, then that's not going to work.

You can still probably restore your old folders, but you're going to have to explain exactly what you did with them and where you were trying to put them.

"I don't know what you're doing or what file you're looking at."
I understand I haven't been clear at all. Anyway, I lost the save because all of this 2DS update and small corruption of the SD that made things worse each time and the fact I didn't know where the save was saved and went from almost no problem to worse..., I decided at the end to format the SD and put back old files saved from the sd I had in a directory.
Now as the save game I wanted to keep of Zelda between two worls is gone, I'm searching for a way to get one, could anybody share a save of those game a bit further than passing the 1st boss? Is it possible to share saves between players in games on 3DS?

What I'm saying is that you need to put them back in the correct directory. At this point I don't know what files you tried to save and where you are trying to put them.

I'm searching for a way to get one, could anybody share a save of those game a bit further than passing the 1st boss?
Wouldn't it be less trouble just to play them game again for however long it takes to get past the first boss..?

Is it possible to share saves between players in games on 3DS?
That is what Checkpoint is for.
