Error: Data abort nds forwarder

Im NOT using the twilight menu but im using the nds forwarder and there isn't much light on that. I keep getting the ''error: data abort!'' red screen and it just wont stop. Im not on twilight menu so its not that i have cheats on. I have checked on the internet for solutions but nothing is working. Its a clean game and both the nds files and the save files have the exact same name and it still happens everytime when i go to the shop. I had no problems leading up to the elite four.
