Or Ark has problems in that particular model. Anyway trying with a different memory card may be a good idea.
On a 3k? Unlikely. 99% of the time it's a corrupted card, we get a lot of those. Many original cards are starting to fail due to age (I myself have one of those), some adapters are really bad and prone to corruption. If it was a CSO or whatever compressed format then I would think of ARK, but for ISO? Those are almost always guaranteed to work (except maybe some weird anti-CFW games).

What's the difference between npdrm_free and npdrm_free_mod and nploader and nploader_mod and why doesn't the Wiki mention the npdrm_free_mod plugin (and the npdrm_free and nploader plugins) if it mentions the nploader_mod one?

So, all 4 of them are needed? Do you speak from personal experience?

Usually just the "Mod" version is enough as those are the newer ones, but there may be a few games that don't work with the mod version.

So just have the mod version enabled, and use the others if for some reason you wanna play a specific game that doesn't work with the mod versions.

I haven't played the entire PSP library, and nowadays I am using Adrenaline and Ark standalone in my Vita since my only reason to keep using my PSP, making the PSP DLC work, can be done in standalone Ark.

So I am sorry I can't give you any examples of games that don't work with the mod versions.

What's the difference between Inferno Cache's "LRU" and "RR" settings?

The mod versions were created because there was some issue when using both plugins at the same time.
I wasn't the author of any of those plugins nor the mod versions so I can't tell you much more.

Then I don't know why it was recomended to use both. Why doesn't the Wiki mention the npdrm_free_mod plugin (and the npdrm_free and nploader plugins) if it mentions the nploader_mod one?

Also, why and how does PS Vita's standalone ARK-4 make a sound when scrolling PSP games even with audio turned off?

Try to turn off sound in Ark settings itself and or use the hardware volume buttons on the Vita.

Already did the latter to make it have no audio but I still do. How can the former even be done?

If "Force Extra Memory" is set to "Always", the PSP freezes and restarts some seconds after when exiting the european Spider-Man: Web of Shadows – Amazing Allies PSP ISO on ARK-4 while using the PS button. I'll keep it set to "Disabled", then.

"You should only use this on homebrew runlevel as retail games were not meant to use the extra memory, and this can cause issues with cheat devices or other plugins that expect games to have their data at specific memory addresses."

What's homebrew runlevel and does "highmem" refer to "Force Extra Memory"?

A know issue in rhyming games in the PSP 2000 and later models is that some games run faster due to the extra ram memory so the timing is off. And that's with official hardware not emulation, so again don't enable extra memory unless it is homebrew, or you tested it and the game works fine with it.

But if that happens with official hardware, then I'd have that issue on those games regardless if "Force Extra Memory" was set to "Disabled" or not. What about that problem on the PS Vita and PS TV? Do those games lag even more in them?
