I lived my childhood in Mexico till 97 age 6. By that time I had seen Dragonball air twice on Multimedios. I think national channels is the way to go. I think back then Mexico could directly make deals with Japan to get the rights to air out the animes.Dragonball is nice. Not my main source of Nostalgia.
Dragonball Z is where everything is at for me. Somehow Mexicans have had DBZ transmitted by national channels uninterruptedly since the 90s up till this day.
GT was transmitted but less times than DBZ. Maybe once every 5 years or so. I've only seen it thrice.
Super fucking sucks. I don't like to talk about that shit.
Oh yeah, I can't stand Super.Super fucking sucks. I don't like to talk about that shit.
I love how people dislike GT, but complain when the characters are not present in the games.Oh yeah, I can't stand Super.
People say GT was bad... Nah, that's Super.
They could Definetly make several seasons from the last movies, Broly super, Db Hero, they can do anime adaptations the Moro and Granola arcTo be honest, I’m starting to lose interest due to the hiatus. I get that the creator died, but it’s hard for me to believe that a show worth millions that gives jobs to thousands of people would be on indefinite hiatus without something shady as fuck going on behind the scenes. I’m guessing conflicts with some rights of the franchise.
Dragon Ball already lost its creator, the composer, voice actors/actresses (Japanese, but also internationals, too) so it's losing its soul.To be honest, I’m starting to lose interest due to the hiatus. I know that feeling. I was a huge Simpsons fan when I was a kid. Everyone has a different season they feel changed everything, and I feel like season six was that point for me. I looked up episodes I recognized, and apparently I was watching into the 15th season. YeeshI lost interest when Super got made because it completely breaks continuity and I simply can't stand that in a franchise. Breaking continuity = jumping the shark as far as I'm concerned. Of course I'm even less interested in the upcoming series, Dragon Ball has simply run its course for many years now, and it's a zombie franchise by now.
I get what you mean, I watched every Simpsons season until Season 20-ish and well, it changed, lol. Same for South Park btw.I know that feeling. I was a huge Simpsons fan when I was a kid. The Simpsons was a comfort show for me as a kid. It had swearing while also having a family sitcom quality. I remember how, in those later years, I would tune in just hoping for a simple episode that wasn't impactful. I give the writers credit for being so experimental with The Simpsons, but I feel like it lost its way through all those strong writing choices.
At least I got to be part of Simpsons Mania back in the day. (buying merch and playing those awful NES games)
Agreed. That's why I'm done after DBD ends.I lost interest when Super got made because it completely breaks continuity and I simply can't stand that in a franchise. Ha, I appreciate that you understand. What a trip those later seasons were, especially for people that just wanted animated American sitcom antics. Speaking of which, when/where did South Park go wrong? I still hear about a controversial episode here and there, so the creators still know how to bring attention to the series.I get what you mean, I watched every Simpsons season until Season 20-ish and well, it changed, lol. Official fanfics they are indeed, lol ! Non canon anime episodes are produced because otherwise the anime would catch up with the manga and cause delays, basically. Non canon series are a great way to milk a franchise for all its worthHa, I appreciate that you understand. Also, I found the post where I got the rundown on DB/DBZ episodes. Credit goes to @tmnr1992
Just to keep it on topic (my bad), why is there DBZ content that's made with the intention of being non-canon? Aren't those just official fanfics? How do the fans feel about it?
You mean the SDBH promo anime crap? Some like it, some don't.Just to keep it on topic (my bad), why is there DBZ content that's made with the intention of being non-canon? Aren't those just official fanfics? How do the fans feel about it?
