Hacking ROM Hack Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 3 - Changing MC Sprites

So I've been trying to edit the sprites from tag force 3. Thought I got it down , followed some instructions on reddit of unpacking-?8bit + alpha - > edit - >repack - >insert. Thought all was well but when I opened the iso, its as if nothing has changed. Does anyone know where to go from here?

got any sources for the tools you used?, i'll try to check if i have time, and what's the region id of the game?
