Well, there's a <that's actually quite a ghost compared to that one> which does have a beta redirect proxy kind of things that aim to parse and modify the eshop catalog with theirs to use and download, other than using their CIA or repo for UniversalDownloader. Still in beta, and doesn't seems to like using Pretendo (even if properly installed, so it doesn't have to use a proxy server for it too) so ain't for me, even if I feel using the eshop would be so much more interesting than <that's actually quite a ghost compared to that one> or <let's advertise some more> cia own apps.
Didn't the 3ds loses it's stability? I mean you took a piece of stable software from the system.
Just curious if you're system randomly falls over and such.
Well, it will break of course you make use of any "Go to eshop" functionalities in different games and apps, but all of those do ask you before actually closing whatever app/game to open the eshop, so they are easy to prevent. I would assume perhaps maybe some Spot-pass advertisement (when it add a game icon on your home-menu) but not only I'm not sure if it rely on the eshop for it (outside of acting as a shortcut to it) but Nintendo has stopped it, so no random eshop usage in the background expected.
tl;dr : Nah, as long the user don't open it from an external app that expect the actual eshop.

I love how we're apparently using names for certain websites that mean something to those in the know but are otherwise unintelligible. I fully support this.
Personally, I don't see the point in uninstalling the eShop. Just use it to load the Homebrew Launcher. <Let's advertise some more> is a funny name. I personally would have called it something that alluded verrrry slightly to its real name, but hey, I don't make the rules.
