it doesn't mention "bootios" anywhere, and the ios was set to 250 so I tried to change it to 249 but it just got stuck at "loading config files", same thing that happens with wiiflow. could you add me on discord to just make this a bit easier so i can send screenshots n all and get notifications etc. PHANTOM#8710The loaders meta.xml file in the usbloader_gx folder.
It sounds like you're using USB Loader GX r1271 or r1272 then, since that shouldn't be missing in the meta.xml file for r1281.it doesn't mention "bootios" anywhere, and the ios was set to 250 so I tried to change it to 249 but it just got stuck at "loading config files", same thing that happens with wiiflow. could you add me on discord to just make this a bit easier so i can send screenshots n all and get notifications etc. PHANTOM#8710
<arguments>
<arg>--ios=249</arg>
<arg>--bootios=249</arg>
<arg>--usbport=0</arg>
<arg>--mountusb=1</arg>
<arg>--sdmode=0</arg>
</arguments>
just gets stuck at the white screen again.It sounds like you're using USB Loader GX r1271 or r1272 then, since that shouldn't be missing in the meta.xml file for r1281.
Delete the usbloader_gx folder and download the latest version from here. Then you can try it with it's default settings or if necessary with the bootios argument set to 249.
So the arguments would look like this...
Code:<arguments> <arg>--ios=249</arg> <arg>--bootios=249</arg> <arg>--usbport=0</arg> <arg>--mountusb=1</arg> <arg>--sdmode=0</arg> </arguments>
Using cIOS 250 won't work for a Wii Mini since d2xl-v1-beta2 (base 57) is installed to slot 249.
I was having problems, until I made a partition on the HD just for the NGC, in the case of the Wii I formatted the HD to WBF and fat 32 to NGC, now everything is perfect, of course we just need to improve Nintendont so that more games in the region PAL stay in progressive which I think would be an important leap, in the USB Loader GX you can put Resident Evil Zero in progressive by putting the video disc mode, force progressive and pacth PAL 50changing it to ios=58 didn't work, and i'm not sure what you meant by "Or you can go the other route and keep the IOS set to 249 but change the boot IOS from 58 to 249.".

mb but ion got a clue what you just saidI was having problems, until I made a partition on the HD just for the NGC, in the case of the Wii I formatted the HD to WBF and fat 32 to NGC, now everything is perfect, of course we just need to improve Nintendont so that more games in the region PAL stay in progressive which I think would be an important leap, in the USB Loader GX you can put Resident Evil Zero in progressive by putting the video disc mode, force progressive and pacth PAL 50
this is the translator's fault, I'll try to sum it up in a way where the translator doesn't get in the way: I had a problem with some games that the others didn't have or that the majority at least didn't, so I see people reporting some problems and maybe it's the same as mine, in this case I made a partition on the HD, one for Wii in WBF format using the WBFS Manager program and it solved it, the other part is for NGCmb but ion got a clue what you just said
Your settings should carry over without any issues. Although any custom cIOS settings will be changed due to the loader having automatic cIOS selection now.Any concerns with bringing over the old settings files I have been using?
I get that it needs to be in WBFS, but I can't put files onto it if it is WBFS which defeats the whole purpose. Plus, it's not that it doesn't recognize the games, its that USB loader GX and WiiFlow just dont load.this is the translator's fault, I'll try to sum it up in a way where the translator doesn't get in the way: I had a problem with some games that the others didn't have or that the majority at least didn't, so I see people reporting some problems and maybe it's the same as mine, in this case I made a partition on the HD, one for Wii in WBF format using the WBFS Manager program and it solved it, the other part is for NGC
it could be what I said, it could also be that you are passing the games the wrong way and it could also be the HD (which leads to +/- what I mentioned, but you need to format it to FAT32) ah, also the HD cannot be 3.0, because the Wii does not recognize USB 3.0 or 1TBI get that it needs to be in WBFS, but I can't put files onto it if it is WBFS which defeats the whole purpose. Your SD card should always be formatted to FAT32 so that it works with the homebrew channel and all other homebrew.The last USB loader GX seems to be able to play games from the internal SD slot. What iso format it can read ? What file system is expected ? WBFS ? FAT32 ? Standard iso's ? What about +4gb isos if it can accept FAT32 ?
USB 3 drives are backward compatible with USB2. The Wii recognizing them just fine. And I have used a 2 TB hard drive with my Wii since 2012.it could be what I said, it could also be that you are passing the games the wrong way and it could also be the HD (which leads to +/- what I mentioned, but you need to format it to FAT32) ah, also the HD cannot be 3.0, because the Wii does not recognize USB 3.0 or 1TB
Not sure if it's an sd card game compatibility thing..I'm trying to setup usb loader gx in order to use games that are on my sd card. It works with one (Okami, installed from Usb Loader (disc) to my sd card) but the others won't (Twilight Princess & SS Brawl).
I don't think ciso files will work, only iso or wbfs.I'm only trying with wii games, but I also have .CISO files on my sd.
Iso. WiiBackupManager is for Wii games. There's another app for GC games, it's Gamecube backup manager.By the way what is the file extension to use Gamecube games ? And how do I use Wii Backup Manager on a sd card ? Or another app
Good morning,By the way what is the file extension to use Gamecube games ? And how do I use Wii Backup Manager on a sd card ? Or another app
When I click "format" on wii backup manager it says "an error occured during format" (or something like this because mine is in french...).Good morning,
Fat32 SD card required.
prefer ISOS or WBFS files on the SD
use wii backup manager as if you were using an external hard drive
EXAMPLE Gamecube games:
/games/Zelda Wind Waker [GZLP01]/Zelda.iso <--- WRONG
/games/Zelda Wind Waker [GZLP01]/game.iso <--- Correct
/games/Tales of Symphonia [GQSEAF]/disc2.iso <--- Correct
