I have my microsd card in my pc and I can see 3 folders with save game data and content data, im wondering if this could possibly be edited to have a game with a custom name, or maybe even an entry point for an exploit. Yeah just getting this out since its a question ive had for a bit
Edit: I also noticed that you can connect the switch to a pc to transfer photos to the pc

The entirety of HOS (Horizon OS) has been cracked wide open. There’s very little left to the imagination at this point. Those files are an isolated storage point. The OS itself is isolated into different functions that require escalation in each in turn to be successful with the final kernel being extremely small and limited in function which makes the attack surface very small. Memory uses ALSR...all of this makes the ability to effect change from the file system extremely limited.

If you want to rebundle your game with a different name look at things like Switch Army Knife (SAK) or NSP Forwarder Tool for 12+

Was this message stuck in a time capsule from 5 years ago?

Entry for exploit, it's nearly impossible as stated by Binkinator.

I you want to change the name and/or the image on HOS for a game you can use:

https://github.com/p-sam/switch-sys-tweak

it uses Atmosphère functions to get the name and details changed.

in native HOS you can transfer photos to pc or cloud, but on CFW there are lots of ways, you can use FTP, UMS, MTP, etc to connect the SD card to your PC and transfer data.

save game data
Those are not game save data. Game saves are stored ONLY in internal storage and cloud on uncracked Switch.

And everything on sdcard that is related to games and account is signed, hashed and encrypted, you cannot reverse this process to pass all checks without signing keys that only Nintendo has. Repacking games using existing tools won't work on Switch without sigpatches since signature check will fail.

If there’s very little left to the imagination who is there not a serial spoofer or stuff to bypass bans?

There is. You can change your certificate with one from a non banned console. The obvious issue with this is that it'll be pretty obvious to Nintendo what you're doing if both consoles are used online even if they aren't online at the same time, since system logs are sent to Nintendo and also a record of what you have installed, and those will be completely different between the two consoles. In other words, it's best if the donor cert comes from a console that has never gone online and will never go online.
I haven't seen a public method/instructions on how to do this, but there are definitely people who have done it.
As far as I know, it isn't a lasting solution, you will end up banned again for one reason or another (could have something to do with the previously mentioned mismatching logs, no way to really know for sure)
And that is probably why there isn't a public method, since it would only result in a lot of people getting perfectly good certs banned and complaining about it. Making it not really worth mentioning.
And no, there is no way to generate a working cert so you can just keep changing the cert any time you get banned. Those certs are uniquely tied to Nintendo's servers and keys, which we don't have access to. Maybe quantum computers will make this a possibility some day, but not in any time frame that would be relevant for the Switch.
