Got a challenge for you Tempers. I'm trying to find a word game that I remember playing, but it's been a long time, and I've since lost my copy of it. I'm struggling to remember a title, but I can't seem to find it. Here's what I do remember:
- So, let's say you have the word FRUIT. You have to find words that are associated with the root word. I then come up with types of fruit, like BANANA, GRAPE, APPLE, ORANGE, etc. Then, those branch out and have words of their own that you need to find, so for APPLE I could type RED, TART, CORE, etc. I can also do this with the other words, like BANANA could be YELLOW, MUSHY, LONG, etc. This can go on for a little while, as you can imagine.
- It used to be an Adobe Flash game; I don't know if it ever made it to consoles or whatever.
- It had several "screens" where it could display off-shoots of the root word.
- It may or may not have had a timer function.
- The original one had the ability to go multiplayer, i.e. play against other people, but I'm not sure if this was baked into the game or the site it came off of.
- It had at least a second version, but I don't remember much about that one.
- I've searched with keywords, like "word graph" or "spider words", but I didn't find what I was looking for.
