1. Are you using normal SD or Micro-SD?
2. Which version of WFL do you have installed?

1. patriot is micro, sandisk is normal sd. both are 128gb
2. the newest version from both github and homebrew browser

Perhaps double check it is formatted as MBR and not GPT. I'm pretty sure sd cards are still shipped as MBR from the factory so probably not the cause of the issue

both were MBR. i gave up on the 128gb cards and attached a hard drive on the console

Could it be that the Wii doesn't support SDXC cards, where SDHC are ok?

So long as it's formatted as fat32 and MBR it should work in homebrew. If trying to use an exploit like letterbomb then it would only work if u partition the card so that the first partition is less than 32gb

somewhere here on this forum it's confirmed at least for 64Gb and 256Gb cards to work well with Wii. And both sizes are SDXC, so it's not the problem.
The only thing required was "well-known (in a good way) brand" and "properly formatted as FAT32" with "guiformat" (in case of windows)

Nintendo Wii on Firmware 4.0 and above support 32GB cards, so SDHCare supported without problem. as stated before, you need the card e on MBR and Fat32, prefereable 32K cluster.

Maybe the cards manufacturers again "improved" something in their products?
For example, I have completely stopped buying SanDisk the last few years. I remember once (long time ago) they were one of the best cards. But now it's only problems with SanDisk cards.
Of the latest - mx4sio for ps2. On the mx4sio project page, they just write in red letters - "Sandisk cards are NOT supported!".
So now I buy only Kingston and Samsung. Sometimes Adata if I want/need cheap card. But ofc. only authentic, genuine.

The Wii was designed for SD cards of up to 4GB in mind, it does support higher memory cards also but this can lack compatibility.

On my experience is not SanDisk products, is what as SanDisk is the most popular, then the fake market is cloning SanDisk and you ends buying fake cards even on Amazon and well know sites.

This loader does not require the alt.dol for Motion+ games , is that right ? Sorry, i'm outdated .

With the latest recommended d2x cios that support blocking ios reloading u don't need alt dols. Iirc Even before the cios update many loaders were updated to allow you to choose an alt dol from within the game image without requiring you extract it to sd/usb

WFL displays the 'snapshots' to the cover correctly, but shifted downwards in the detail view.

Is this a problem with the 'snapshots' for Wonderswan Color? I use the snapshots provided by @Tetsuo Shima in another thread.

Found it. Now they are centered in the details, but shifted up in the box view.

Yes, I remember having this issue. Look at this post in the Wiiflow Database thread.
Wonderswan snapshots should look like this:

There is a transparent space around the picture. I remember I resized the top and bottom margins to align it to the frame. Does your snapshot look like the one above?

Yes, I have now found these revised screenshots. However, they are only displayed correctly in the detailed view and have slipped out of the overlay in the cover view. So it's exactly the opposite as before.

I would now rather suspect that the overlay file is not correct regarding the margins.
