  • I still think Minecraft 1.9 was the worst update, and the "Combat Test" side-snaphots needlessly alter things OTHER than the problem itself.

I mean, Mojang clearly knows it's the bloody garbage "attackSpeed" attribute that's the issue, because it's conspicuously missing in Bedrock. SO GET RID OF ATTACKSPEED ALREADY!
Or at least make it something easily toggleable, like a World Setting or game Setting (a la auto-jump).
Phones are both the best and the worst devices people have; they allow for instant, unplanned communication, and they allow for unplanned, instant communication.

If I may say so, I feel a little differently. It's because they are sudden and catch us unprepared that they wake us up from our daily slumber and selfishness, and force us to pay attention to the present moment and the needs of others.😉

I'm sorry, but I just cannot feel that way; sudden verbal conversations make me slightly nervous and self-conscious, especially through the phone where I can't see the other person, and the "sudden" aspect also throws me off whatever I'm currently doing, which irritates me. It's a combination of nervousness and irritation, for me.

I go for the middle ground. I have a house phone, no mobile phone. Suffer what comes with that and if I am out and about then nobody can get hold of me unless I check emails or something.
    Favourite Pokemon generations: 5 > 4 > 7 (i.e. just Alola) > 1 > 6 > 3 > 2. I don't count 8; never played it because it's inexcusably horrendous.
    RichardTheKing
    RichardTheKing
5's my favourite because of all the awesome extra content BW2 had, alongside having almost all of my favourite PKMN/moves/Abilities, and N's great. 4's next because it's a less-advanced 5, and still has most of my favourites. 7's third since the story and characters are pretty decently written, though Move Reminder's stupidly late (PKMN League, for whatever reason).

Let's Go! is simply NOT "Gen 7"; they're freaking side-games, not advancing on Alola's gameplay at all. Ew, hard pass. 1 is behind 7, simply because of how simple and relatively quick it is to finish. 6 is next; I roasted it in the PKMN Group, and I initially thought XY were the worst games in the series, but it's just tedious and mediocre and horrifically disappointing after BW2.

Gen 3...still the best Kanto-only games, as sad as that is, and Emerald would be a better game than ORAS if it wasn't so old. Plus, extra-strict checksum often mutates boxed PKMN into "Bad Eggs", which is quite irritating.
Lastly, Gen 2 - why would I play it when HGSS exists? The only thing Crystal has over HGSS is Stat EXP, which I prefer over EVs.
Replaying Pokemon X, for lack of anything better to do, and...wow, the free heals are ridiculous.
    RichardTheKing
    RichardTheKing
Not only is money plentiful in XY - Lumiose restaurants, Battle Chateau, O-Power, raised money cap compared to DS and earlier - so you should be swimming in Potions, but after the Anistar City Serena battle, she fully heals you - WHEN THERE'S A POKEMON CENTER RIGHT THERE!
    RichardTheKing
    RichardTheKing
Not to mention the free heal given after rescuing the Power Plant. Sure, that's just before Restaurant Le Wow is available, but the others are still there. Pointless free heal.

Just lemme use my goddamn Potions and Leppa Berries, Game Freak!
Why does Office Autoupdater cause my MacBook's fans to roar? No other app does that.

I did not know about the thermal overheat issue on Windows computers; I don't exactly use the Autoupdater on my Windows laptop, just my Mac.
    That's...concerning; thanks.

+1 to MS updater programs being the best stress test known to man.

Not even my browser (Brave) makes my laptop simulate a Boeing 747, and I've got like three windows with an excessive number of tabs open. Fuck me; how can Microsoft be so rich and influential when their updater programming work is so ludicrously awful?
They need to update the Autoupdater.

I'd use Citra more, if it had NTR plugin support.
I've been playing both Aria and Dawn of Sorrow recently; in TVTropes terms, Now Where Was I Going Again? They needed more direction, IMO.

Funny you mention that, Kleines; I literally just finished Dawn, after starting it this morning. Really not a long game, when you know where to go (and, uh, have a 2x movement speed AR code, a 999 Luck code, and a code that modifies soul drops so they give you 9 of that soul).
    RichardTheKing
    RichardTheKing
Dawn of Sorrows is the better game, I feel; it has more interesting souls, not as many secret rooms (that are hidden until you break the wall leading to them), a better cast of baddies (who were Aria's baddies? I don't even remember, and I just played it), and most areas can be almost completely explored on the first go-through - unlike Aria. I don't even mind the animesque portraits.
    RichardTheKing
    RichardTheKing
I do get why Castlevania buffs were upset by the animesque portraits, though; the original, more 'sketch-y' artwork used in the series is a staple and quite unique, so suddenly switching it up would of course upset them.
To me, though, the animesque portraits look quite good regardless, and that's all that matters at the end of the day.
Oh hey, it's 11/9 today. Two decades ago, that terrorist disaster happened. Rest in Peace, victims of that catastrophe.

I don't understand the problem. What's wrong with fictional civilisations/species consisting of mostly females?

The fact that they don't allow men to enter their settlements, and even actively hate men depending on depiction.
Just finished Oracle of Seasons Linked, and thus my four playthroughs of the Oracle duo! Vanilla Ages & Seasons, then Linked OoA & OoS.
    RichardTheKing
    RichardTheKing
I still wish these two got a remaster, for sure, but as it stands they're solid entries in the series, with a very interesting Linking concept that really should see a return.
Despite my hatred of Head Thwomp, Manhandla, Digdogger, Maple and Gasha Nuts, I'd still rank it high.
    RichardTheKing
    RichardTheKing
Not as good as Link's Awakening DX (let alone Switch), since that game doesn't have those abhorrent inclusions, but still high up there, with a preference for Ages, methinks.
Oh god, I'm an idiot; I played through BOTH Oracle of Ages and Seasons without realising Rings had to be equipped instead of in the box!
After rewatching Return of the Jedi again, after so many years...it's sad that we'll never get another "slave Leia". A remnant of the 80s.
    RichardTheKing
    RichardTheKing
If something like that was tried these days, it'd be mired in pointless controversy due to "incorrect depiction of women" - what happened to artistic freedom?
Not to mention that it's Leia herself who kills her captor, only needing R2-D2 to break the chain after...
Well, I can confidently say that I freaking HATE Smog in Oracle of Ages. Combining the small guys can be painful.

Why the HELL is Twelve Minutes priced at AU$36? It's 720 seconds on repeat, with near-Moon Logic puzzles. Should be $20, I'd say.
