  • I shouldn't had gotten rid of Linuc Mint XFCE lol. MX Linux failed to install onto my drive, Fedora Budgie didn't boot into the live usb, and Xubuntu is making my PC go in a boot loop. This sucks :)

Let's try this again! Hopefully nothing bad happens in the process... I am almost about to jump the Ventoy Bandwagon.

After a while of getting things to work, I got a SD Card with Ventoy on it, put some lightweight distros on there, chose Fedora Budgie, and now everything is progressing through how I wanted it to go as. I guess Fedora is seriously the new way to go (or Ventoy, I guess...? Idk)
I swear I wish i knew what problems people are having with Windows meanwhile I'm gaming just fine on Tiny11 lol... People just need to use that if they don't want to have the mess ups of Microsoft lol

I'm actually satisfied with oth of my PCs....

As for any specific driver issues, i don't tend to have a problem with such other than the Audio Driver on my college laptop coming with one that makes the speakers pop. I just remove that driver and change it with the latest version HP provides and it works like a charm. Same thing goes for my gaming laptop which too comes with no issues after updating everything.

I only have miniscule problems with my Win11 Pro PC. Especially with the usual tweaks in the Services and RegEditing.

On the rebuilding of my Dell Precision M4600, I will contemplate on wether to install Win11 Pro or the Linux PureOS, or both on a Dual Booting the PureOS.

Now as far as my clunker ASUS R540N, I have Linux Mint Cinninamon installed on it. Only flaw so far, is that it is behaving like any WINDOWS version in, ALWAYS asking to install updates. Which of course you gotta enter your Password Again.:(

only the negative sounding stuff gets more views. I wished that members of this site can pay attention and care about more of the positive sides of this siet such as the cool emulaiton stuff getting big updates and whatnotr.

People see PS Portal and they immediately want to complain that it wasn't the Vita 2, that it should have been this from launch, that everybody buying it is stupid and wasting their money... Not my favourite topics lol

@Scarlet how else are they supposed to express apathy?
I am done searching through the internet for this.

My 1TB SSD my father gave me has a bit of studdering problems with Windows but on Linux, it's running just fine. Tested this by playing some Dolphin games and on Windows, the game would stop running for 5-8 seconds for a bit and then continue doing stuff, but on Linux

I would love to tell you to just stay on Linux (and yes, you absolutely must, there is no arguing here), but it sounds like a broken file system which can be fixed with fsck/chkdsk

If parsec can natively host on Linux and if the NVIDIA drivers doesn't fuck up my second monitor on my gaming laptop, then I would have been switched to Linux. Fedora Workstation specitically. Even if I have the necessary tools for me to get the latter working, put that machine above 60hz on my second monitor on Fedora Workstation and the second monitor stops working.

I could put Linux on my college laptop, but thats my college laptop, and considering I might need to use Windows for certain applications in the future, ill have to wait until I graduate before I get to do such.

But in case of me wishing to get the itch, I do have a Fedora Cinnamon USB next to me despite KDE connect not working on there
overwriting my 1TB hard drive since yesterday night.

Woken up and its STILL going.

@DragonMals It doesn't help that we're now getting digital IDs on our phones, which are the prime target for hackers if you use it for your banking, and not everyone is tech literate so they'll fall for the most obvious scams. I don't want to use my phone as a form of ID, as what if I don't get the clearest signal or Wi-Fi in the place, then I'm fucked.

It's scary how many things are requiring smart phones lately.
so many times that Wikipedia is asking me to donate for them, thinking that it's about to get shut down if it doesn't; why do they continue asking for money?

I wonder why the icon looks like this when attempting to install the temp as a separate app for Firefox... It's zoomed in for Chromium based devices and for Samsung Internet specifically, it's completely normal as it should be.
