Is there anyone else who can't play smash ultimate after updating everything? I've read it is a sigpatch problem but i tried some and none of them work, are these suppose the be the last ones?
Name of the file bc i can't put the url: Hekate+AMS-package3-sigpatches-1.4.0-cfw-15.0.0

Great then that should absolutely be the correct path. I'll try it out on my Switch after work.

Not saying your idea is noobish at all. You might be on to something.

Cheats are going to be under /atmosphere/contents/<gameID>/cheats I believe. See if there's anything there for you.
Hey, did you have a chance to try? And one more question - nothing seems to be working for now, is there a chance if it's a good workaround to create new emunand on a new SD and restore just USER in NXNandManager to have the saves, then export them properly with JKSV or whatever externally and import on my new emunand on the other card?
Post automatically merged:

import them with JKSV just the same but with fewer steps.
I see you're giving the same advice again, but I didn't find any import option in JKSV, just restoring JKSV backup

It will update itself when you start the app as well. Just start Tinfoil and let it go.
(If it doesn’t work, then yeah, you’ll have to download the new tinfoil.nro self installer and install over the top. Great instructions in the Download section of tinfoil.io.)
Whenever I open tinfoil i receive a message that the app is updating and to restart the app to have it complete the update. However I can only figure out how to close the app, not restart it. I press B to close the app. How do I restart it?

If that doesn't work I will just manually update. However I have repository info already installed. Where is this located in the tinfoil folder, so I can transfer it to the new tinfoil folder?

Well I just went back and changed it to the one from here https://gbatemp.net/threads/sigpatches-for-atmosphere-hekate-fss0-fusee-package3.571543/ and now it's gone and it now looks like this.
That post contains a pre-configured hekate_ipl.ini file so when you put it on your SD card and overwrite the old one, it will be replaced with the one from that thread.
So I bought a brand new LEGIT (yes I checked) SD Card, formatted it to Fat 32 and I am trying to set up a new system for weeks and I am just failing and I need some serious help.

1) My SysNand is still on 4.1.0, should I leave it at that or burn the fuses? I have an unpatched early model Switch (I think those are called Mariko V1 but I am not sure)
2) So my EmuNand is of course also still at 4.1.0 but I want to get everything working before I update the firmware (of just the EmuNand) and nothing works
3) When I open Gold Leaf it crashes back to Hekate
4) When I try Tinfoil I get
"Error Failed to enable DS"
"Error usbDsRegisterInterface failed 594B000"

So when I try to install a NSP nothing happens.

5) DBI also can not connect. It never worked on my brand new computer while it worked on my older computer, both using Win 10. Now it doesn't work on any machine.
I have read "If you cannot work it out, please download Zadig from https://zadig.akeo.ie/

then open the device manager and see if DBI is detected there (you might see it with an exclamation mark on it)

Run Zadig, then list all devices, select DBI, and install the LIBUSBK driver for it"

Zadig does not show me DBI. It only lists Switch under systems and I already installed the LIBUSBK driver for Switch.

YES I do use a brand new USB C cable in fact I got a lot of new USB C cables so it can not be the fault of the cable.

I have tried to install this
https://github.com/sthetix/HATS
but when I try to get into emuMMC I get the Atmos logo, Nintendo logo and then a black screen and nothing.

So now I am using THIS package that contains Atmos which lets me boot into emuMMC

https://switchway.net/update-atmosphere/

This a lot for your help. I really can not figure out how to install any NSP.
  1. If its unpatched, your console is an Erista. Mariko units are the ones in the red boxes. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend updating your firmware unless you plan on playing online. If you do want to play online, you can still update your firmware without burning fuses
  2. Majority of homebrew apps were developed after 4.1 so there is a possibility they were not designed to work with that firmware. If you want to update the firmware of your emuMMC, I recommend using Daybreak to update
  3. All of the installers you used aren't very good which might be contributing to your problem. I highly recommend using TinWoo Installer instead. Its what I personally use and I never have any issues while using it. Worst case scenario is that if it doesn't work, at least we know its because your firmware is too low to run any title installers. Also make sure you're using the patches from this thread

What exactly is the issue? Is there an error code? What message is displayed?

Hello I’m in need of some assistance… I have a switch (soft moddable) on the latest firmware and would like to use atmosphere. I just got an rcm loader in the mail and would like to follow a simple guide. Can someone please point me towards the right direction? The rentry switch guide seems the best but overall I’m confused on which guide I follow. Please help thank you in advance

This is the best Switch hacking guide. Not only was it the first guide to be released but its been updated regularly as the scene progressed. Any steps involving injecting a payload via USB can be substituted with your RCM Loader. Further instructions on how to use it can be found on their site.

I'm planing to migrate to a bigger SD card in next few days (Currently emunand based on partition) and like always, i find myself at lost what's the best way to migrate without screwing things up.
Which way is the best and, lemme call it, foolproof?

Hey, I have a question...

Why sometimes not always do you get a slow responsive switch its like a lag type of effect. It mainly happens after I install games using DBI sometimes ill eject and it will be fine other times it will when pressing power or joy con inputs....It rarely happened on my v1 switch but on the OLED it happens more often.

Brand new OLED btw with HWFLY v3

hi, i planning to install modchip hwfly v4 on my v2 switch.

its okay to update my switch firmware to the latest firmware?
Sure is. No issues.

This is the way I do it:

Hey, did you have a chance to try?
Was running a TownHall for my teams yesterday. Absolutely beat. Will do a writeup today.

Closing and restarting is what is called for. There is no restart button. Seems the auto update is n’t working for whatever reason. Installing over the top shouldn’t overwrite your configs but you can back them up by copying the /switch/tinfoil directory to another location just to be safe. (The most important files are locations.conf and options.json but you might as well just copy the entire directory to get them all.)

I have a patched switch with firmware 7.0.1 there is now any way to mod it via software? I want to update it and buy some games on the e shop because my card game reader says to me this error (see pic) and I don't know if it's completely broken or there is a solution (headphones works).

Need a modchip if you got a patched unit above 4.1.0

I read on homebrew site that the exploit caffeine theorically is compatible until the fw version 7.0.1 and by the 8.0.0. the exploit has been fixed.

It haven't been released to the public, and there is not ETA for anything above 4.1.0

so do u suggest me to update it and wait that maybe in 2 year there is gonna be a way to softmod it?
Our prospects look better the further out you look. 2 years isn’t likely but within 10 years we very well might have better hacking techniques and some unpatchable retro bug since Ninty won’t be patching FirmWare anymore.
There is no ETA when softmod for firmware above 4.1.0 would get released. If you want CFW either get an unpatched unit, or modchipped unit.
Correct answer if you want to enjoy a hacked switch sooner rather than…an unknown date in the future.

Guys but i will not buy a non patched one and asked u if there is batter to update it or reminiscenze with 7.0.1. And also aked because Now my switch doesn't read card games can be this problem may be fixed by updating the console? ( I fixed my switch after it broke and the technician said to me that was ic broken but I don't remember how it broke because passed a lot of time)

No worries. In that case a modchip is you only option to hack. 7.0.1 isn’t that special. You will get more out of your switch if you upgrade.

if your game card is not reading latest games then maybe it is something that can be fixed with a firmware update. However, if your switch stopped reading game cards that used to work (and a tech said you need an IC replaced) that’s a different issue and and a hardware problem that can’t be fixed by updating firmware. You should get your hardware fixed first.
